Overview

About the property

4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Bathrooms, creek views, steps to Main St. & The Roundhouse

Hello and welcome to the best place in Beacon! Wake up to the sounds of the burbling creek and the site of Mount Beacon rising in the distance of this bright, sunny, window-filled three-storey house, full of midcentury magic and modern design and technology. Four large bedrooms & four bathrooms. Steps to Main Street, The Roundhouse, Hudson Valley Brewery. Walk to train, Dia, Mount Beacon hiking. Also a short drive to Storm King Arts Center, West Point, Breakneck Ridge, and the Culinary Institute of America.

The Beacon Palace is perfect for car-less getaways (you are a quick a 25-minute walk to the Beacon Metro North train station), but also features a full private parking lot. For hiking, it is a short walk to the Mount Beacon trailhead. As for the wonderful spots along Main Street, you couldn't be closer: Stumble out your door for coffee and pie at Ella's Bellas, grab a delicious meal and beer at The Restaurant at the Beacon Hotel, eat ramen at Quinn's, see a live show at The Towne Crier, or walk out the door to attend a wedding, cocktail, or five-star meal at The Roundhouse.

The house was designed to merge the old and the new. Vintage mid-century pieces live next to the rustic, reclaimed, and modern. Classic design and modern technology allow for the best of both worlds. Each of the three bedrooms is lightly themed and decorated to provide a unique experience. Note that there may be longer min-stay requirements depending on the season and on some holidays.

The home includes:

-A giant living room complete with a full-wall movie projector for Netflix, Hulu, HBOGo, and cable via Sling TV.

-Full, modern kitchen outfitted for making whatever you like (yes, there's a dishwasher).

-Bedrooms galore: Four huge ones, including an en suite master and a huge full-floor suite with a separate entrance, bathroom, seating area, and kitchenette,

-All rooms are equipped with world-famous Casper mattresses, for supreme comfort (some guests tell me it's the most comfortable bed they've ever slept in).

-Bathrooms galore: Three giant full bathrooms as well as one spacious half bath. One of the full baths has two sinks, for easy sharing.

-Large dining area with a large custom-built live-edge wood dining table.

-There is a washer/dryer that may be used by guests staying at least four nights.

-Unbeatable creek-front location, creating a quiet nature-filled oasis, just steps from the best spots on Main Street.

-Sonos sound system for streaming music.

-Blazing fast Wi-Fi Internet.

-Touchpad smartlock for keyless entry.

The Bedrooms:

Each of the four bedrooms is lightly themed and decorated to provide a different immersive experience.

-"The Maltese Falcon Room": In this classic film noir-inspired room, you are a hardboiled detective, ripped from the screen of Hitchcock or the pages of Chandler. See if you can find the hidden Easter Eggs while admiring the Maltese Falcon statue that famously drove men to madness.

-"The Mid-century Suite": A full-floor suite, decorated with the best of vintage mid-century (and a few modern) pieces. A projector provides entertainment to go along with a private seating area, kitchenette, and full bath. This room is beyond huge.

-"The White Room": Modern white furniture and art and classic mid-century wood pieces mingle together in the second largest room. A private en suite bathroom and gigantic walk-in closet provide a hotel-like experience with views of the burbling creek.

-"The Fantasy Room": Have a mad tea party in this whimsical bedroom, complete with toy cars and an unending sense of whimsy.

Outdoors: The living room opens up onto a large wooden deck, while a beach-like sloping yard rises above the parking area. Perfect for laying out and refreshing in the sun.

One last thing: I really, really appreciate that you followed directions and read this whole thing. Please put the phrase "Bonus points are fun!" at the top of your message so I know you did so as such bookings tend to go so much smoother! And thanks for hanging in there!

Beautifully Designed and Central Home!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at the Beacon Palace! The home is very thoughtfully decorated, managing to be cozy while having clean design. The kitchen was very well-stocked with appliances, dishes, and cooking basics. It was a great location, with downtown, Dia: Beacon, and the Mount Beacon trailhead all within walking distance. Seth was immediately available for any questions, and his recommendations were spot-on. Would definitely book again for a weekend getaway!

Great place with lots of room

  • 5 of 5

My family had a lovely stay at the house in Beacon. Seth was a great host and provided us with loads of information on the property and what to do in the Beacon area. The house itself has all that you need for a very comfortable stay. There is lots of room and everything was lovely and clean. It made our stay for the family wedding just perfect.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house while visiting our daughter during Acceptance Day at West Point. We had 7 people and this house gave us a lot of space, had everything we needed in it and the location close to Main St. Beacon was just perfect.

Seth, the owner, is very responsive to every question I asked during our whole stay.

Outstanding home in great location in Beacon

  • 5 of 5

This is an outstanding home. First, the location is great - it is a short walk to get to Main Street in Beacon and about a 20 minute walk to the Dia, for example. It's on an "out of the way" street that is very quiet with little traffic. The house itself is very comfortable. Nicely decorated, extremely clean and modern. Nothing feels old or used (except the "antique" pinball machine and other antiques). If you rent the whole house, there are 2 bedrooms with their own bathrooms and two bedrooms that share a bath. In our case, we were two couples who rented the house, so we each had our own space. The beds were very comfortable. The living room and dining room/kitchen were also very spacious and comfortable - great to sit at the beautiful table pictured and talk together. Also, there were lots of provisions in the kitchen, including coffee, which was very nice. And, as a real bonus, the water pressure in the shower was unbelievably great.

Last but not least, Seth was a wonderful host - very helpful when I had problems with VRBO, very communicative, and very pleasant. No question where we'll stay if we go back to Beacon! Thanks, Seth!

Property was lovely, well kept corner lot, exterior of the home is very nice.

We were in Beacon for a family wedding, myself, my husband and our three adult children and their spouses or significant other, eight total. The house was spacious and bright, had all the necessary kitchen items and the beds were very comfortable. Linens and towels were high quality as well as the bedding and pillows. No regular TV but a projector that was hooked to roku so we had fun lots of fun with that. Central AC and heat, both were necessary during our stay, typical New England spring weather, 80's down to 60's.

The town was great, Main Street had a little bit of everything....and a beautiful creek runs across the street.

I would recommend this property highly.
