six stars!

We have stayed at VRBO homes several times, and have always been pleased, but this one was exceptionally awesome!

First, it was spacious enough for the entire family, and we weren't cramped at all. The kitchen and dining room held us all; the three sitting areas were both large enough and separate enough so that we could all form our smaller conversation groups.

Next, all the bedrooms had their own adjoining bathrooms. That was important as we all wanted to get out early in the mornings for our mountain adventures.

And then: it was a rural setting. We could sit on either the porch or one of the two (2!) decks and enjoy the landscape without having to look at other dwellings.

I had the joyful task of taking my grandson's senior pictures, and we planned on doing that as we explored the local mountains. This property also provided lovely opportunities for backgrounds.

Finally, we made a new friend. Hank the pig. I don't know how long pigs live, but I hope he's still there when we are able to return.

Thank you, Denise and ... "Mr. Denise"?...(I didn't catch your name, sir) for providing the setting for a great family reunion and vacation.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for the lovely review. Pat, we are glad you respected and enjoyed the property. And yes we hope Hank is still around for a few more years. To the best of our knowledge he is 13.5 years this August.

It was a nice stay with a lot of space in the house.

Nice location. Silent farm property with a great view on the horse paddock.

We enjoyed our vacation at this place.

Denise the owner was very kind and gave as many tips about activities.

A big recommindation from us is to visit the buffalo ranch close by.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the nice review. We are working hard on improving with each new group stay. I am not including the fact that we try our best to be scent free and ‘biologic as you say’ in our orientation. The will help clarify why there was beezwax on the counter. Thanks

Wonderful Property with a Fantastic Owner!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. The home is situated on a beautiful piece of farm property. From this location we visited Yoho NP (45 Min), Banff NP (Lake Louise is 1:15 away) and Canadian Glacier NP (45 Min). It is also about 15 minutes away from the town of Golden which is quite charming.

The home was large enough for our extended family (5 couples and several kids) and each couple had their own bathroom which was great. The owner was extremely accommodating and even helped us plan several of our activities.

I would definitely stay here again.

Great place for a large group to stay. Well equipped with everything you would need.

  • 5 of 5

Everything was exactly what we wanted in a vacation home. Nice and quiet and in the mountains. Able to fit any variety of groups. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Only downside would be that the directions were wrong on the VRBO website and was a bit of a head ache to try and find as the cell reception was pretty bad near the house. All in all I would stay there again no questions.

We are located 15 minutes west of Golden BC and ideally located for visiting any of the 5 mountain parks; 27 minutes West to the Glacier Park, 32 minutes East to Yoho Park, 1 hr and 20 minutes to Lake Louis, the start of the Icefield Parkway and Banff National Park, 2 hrs and 45 minutes, North to Jasper National Park via the Icefield Park Way and 1 hr and 25 minutes South to Kootenay National Park. But the real deal when staying at 'Eh' Canadian Lodge is the activities in the area; from site seeing to bird watching, hiking, biking or river excursions in summer and watching the snow fall to snowshoeing, skiing, skating or sledding in winter. You can't go wrong spending some time in the area. Don't miss out on the real deal, we are no longer just a stopover, staying to play or just relax in our area requires more than a couple of days.
