We discovered the high desert to get away from the stress of the large city. We fell in love with this area because of the silence, the pure air, the mystical open spaces, the trasparent light, the spectacular sunrises & sunsets and the canopy of stars. A true communion with nature.
Excellent place to unwind, to watch the star filled nights, commune with nature and charge your batteries. Lots of gentle trails for hiking and exploring. Gorgeous Joshua Tree National Park nearby. Lots of Art Galleries and famous Pappy & Harriet Palace only 5 min. away. Home of the world famous sound baths at the Integratron.
I had not seen on over 10 years.
Had a wonderful time in the Casita and hiking in Joshua Tree!
The Casita is perfect and decorated so nice.
Loved the sunrise and sunset from the porch.
Beautiful views out of every window! The Casita is clean, the beds comfortable and the kitchen stocked with basic cooking utensils. Thank you.
Cecila was a great host, she provided a wealth of information for us city-folks to get around in Joshua Tree. The place itself is amazingly peaceful - we had the most relaxing stay. Highly recommended for all!
I wouldn't change a single thing.
We spent 4 nights at La Casita in April, as part of our first-ever visit to Joshua Tree National Park. We loved the house and its location ... far enough from town to feel like you were very remote, but just a few minutes drive to restaurants, shops, and a little further on to the park. The quiet and the beautiful house and views were a welcome break from the real world. Cecilia is a most generous and thoughtful host, making sure we were all settled in.
In a last minute stroke of luck we found Cecelia's sweet casita, and stayed 3 amazing nights. The space itself is a great balance of rustic & elegant, old & new, and most importantly is very functional. Favorite spots were the 2nd bedroom/reading nook (spent hours there) and waking up in the main bedroom to those gorgeous desert sunrises... blissful.
Also enjoyed walking and exploring the ranch property itself, and ventured just down the road to the Pioneertown Mountains Preserve for a peaceful canyon hike. We usually stay in or near Joshua Tree NP, so this was a new spot to enjoy the desert landscape... and we loved it.
Hope to return in the future.
If you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries, I'd highly recommend Cecelia's casita!
Absolutely loved my stay at Cecillia's beautiful casita. It is charm to the max and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The sunrises from the porch were stunning! The decor is charming and so artfully done.
I would return in a heartbeat. It is not far from the entrance to Joshua Tree, and down the road from Pappy and Harriet's ( a favorite of the locals).
We are surrounded by mountains with gentle trails to hike.
Things to see: Orchid Farm in Landers, Intregraton in Landers, Noah Purifoy Sculpture Park, Pappy & Harriet Palace (Music club/restaurant) in Pioneer Town, the Swap Meet in Yucca Valley, Antique Markets, in Y. Valley & 29 Palms, etc.
