About Jim and Pat Yeo
We are the owners who love to escape the hot central valley for the ambiance of the ocean. As seniors with many grandchildren events to attend we would like to share our beautiful getaway, when the family is not utilizing its benefits.
Jim and Pat Yeo purchased this Cottage in 1995
Why Jim and Pat Yeo chose Moss Beach
At a dead end cul-de-sac, a very private area with quick access to highway 1 and freeways 15 miles north to San Francisco and south to Santa Cruz 45 miles and Monteray Bay. On the ocean cliffs we chose this property for its location, location , location, and views, views, views.
What makes this Cottage unique
The cypress trees and blue pacific give a park like appearance to the property which provides a cozy, relaxing place to unwind and enjoy the cool ocean air.

Warm and cozy with an amazing view!
My wife and I enjoyed a great Bay Area weekend get-away and appreciated this property's location (about 20 miles from the hustle and bustle of the city) and its coziness. It appears that the owner is renovating as the shower looks to be recently upgraded to stone tiles. The size is perfect for two but could accommodate four with the fold-out sofa in the living area. There's a small, well stocked kitchen if you wish to eat breakfast or lunch in. And then there's the view of the water from the windows and balcony. . . so very, very nice!
Cozy little cottage near the ocean
I had a lovely time staying in this house in Moss Beach, and appreciated Jim's quick help when I needed it!
View is true
After reading all 5 star reviews we were disappointed that the noise from highway 1 completely drowns out the sound of the ocean. The house seems in the process of being renovated - dishwasher unconnected, ceilings taped but not finished, painting unfinished in bathroom, etc. Only couch bolstered by foam rubber under seat. "Fireplace" that was listed is an electric which is part of the TV stand - didn't work. TV and wifi on the blink the first 2 days until fixed by a kind neighbor who helps oversee the property. We began to wonder who really wrote the anonymous reviews that led us to rent this property. We've rented and reviewed many times VRBO properties throughout the world and this was the first time that the reviews were very misleading. All of that said, the location close to the ocean and San Francisco airport was great, we did enjoy looking at the beautiful ocean and the stars, and found the quaint towns and beautiful beaches nearby allowed us to have an enjoyable get-away.
Moss Beach Paradise
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The location is amazing - walking trails, the lighthouse, Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, Pacifica, Rockaway Beach, Half Moon Bay, the list goes on, for everything that is very close! The house is cute and had everything we needed. All the flowers and succulents were in bloom and it had a magical feeling about it especially standing on the balcony and watching the sunset over the ocean, spectacular! It was just the peaceful and relaxing recharge that we needed, we full definitely be visiting again soon and can't wait to go back!
So I took my wife here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely great. We arrived late at night so very cold but the heated kicked in immediately, I was pretty impressed. The whole place is very clean and well kept. Also stocked with dishes TP and all. As far as the view it was amazing, you can literally hear the waves crash from the house. I took the wife site seeing in San Francisco and it was only about an hour away. Also many nice little coffee shops and diners near by. In short the whole experience was wonderful and the house was cozy and had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here, and we plan on going back as soon as we can :)
