About Ann Lyons
married with Children : D
Ann Lyons purchased this Cottage in 1997
Why Ann Lyons chose Montreat
Such a cute house, very neat and 1930's charm with modern updates and conveniences. Our family LOVES the mountains, the creeks, the smell of greenery just outside your window. I grew up spending summers in Montreat with family and friends. Stepping into a whole separate world with mother nature infusing herself into your heart through sight, sound, smell and touching you eternally with memories of an experience you carry with you for a life time. Spending time with your family, that you don't get at home with our regular daily home schedules. Going to square dances on Friday Nights and ice cream at the Blue Cone (Dairy King-not Queen) afterwards with friends, and listening to the rain outside your window at night as the crickets sing along. Lovin' my Montreat Memories!
What makes this Cottage unique
Weekends stay booked, so we decided to lessen the weekday rates for those who don't have to book the weekend. So come and see how we started out with a cute neat, clean little cottage perfect for our little family, but our family grew and so we helped our house grow. First we added porches and space inside too, building into the attic with a loft with a view. Next with more sleeping space for friends and family, it's true, we needed more space so we made another space for two. Well, we like to be outside and our space outside was the next addition, that is when we decided a patio space we would use! Two huge decks were added as well. Come and see our cottage, and we hope that you do, it's beautiful to visit the Montreat home with treehouse views!

Quaint, comfortable, and conveniebt
We are a group of pastors staying for a conference at Montreat Conference Center. This gem is conveniently located and very comfortable. It was great to have this space together. The owners were wonderful and easy to work with. Would love to come back at a time when we could use the porches more.
LOVE THIS PLACE
This was her second time staying at this house, it was just as wonderful as the first! Looking forward to staying there again next year!
charming get away!
We enjoyed our stay very much! We had 6 folks staying, so the space was great. The only 'glitch' was the necessary tree removal at a neighboring property that threatened to shut the road, but we got that resolved quickly. I would say this house is great for a family with kids or youth who can manage the tight sleeping in some parts. Our group of (mostly) older women managed, but it won't work for future stays with this particular group. And as we hope to expand our contingent, we'll need bigger accommodations in any case. I will, however, recommend it to any who might ask me.
Great place to stay!
We loved this house, it's truly a treetop treasure! We didn't want for anything but the owner Anne was in touch with us to make sure everything was perfect. Would stay here again.
Great property with lots of charm!
Really enjoyed our time at the house! The kids loved the attic play-room and the bunk room off the dining room. They loved the bench swing and stairs down to the road. Good location for walking to Assembly Inn. Really enjoyed both decks, slept well. Nothing to complain about.
We enjoyed hosting for your family. Great communicators and easy going : ) we can't wait for you to come again. Fun additions are coming, as I have projects beginning soon : D This has been a fun first year hosting. I've learned a lot. I've also learned that I like hosting and sharing our mountain house with others.
We had a great stay in this lovely home. The loft is perfect for children or youth. Thank you, Ann!
