Hello, My name is Julie and I have been a property manager and leasing agent in Redondo Beach for 15 years. I am helping these out of town owners with this rental and I live less than one mile from the property. I moved to Redondo Beach after graduating from college and fell in love with the area and never left. The weather is close to perfect year round and is never too hot, too cold or too humid. The residents here usually do not require heaters or air conditioners since the temperature is pretty steady. There is beautiful scenery everywhere you look! The beach has amazing sunsets that are unique every night. It is hard to find a better place to vacation to. I have managed properties in Redondo and the surrounding cities for about 15 years now and would be happy to give suggestions for anything you are looking for as for as entertainment or restaurants and more. You will love this area! There are endless things to do! Thank you, Julie
Julie purchased this Condo in 2016
Why Julie chose South Redondo
This location is wonderful and the condo is clean and updated with modern furniture. It is comfortable and nice without feeling stuffy. You can walk to literally everything! Including numerous stores, restaurants, grocery stores, waxing/hair/tanning salons,, banks, library, beaches, piers, and so much more! My guests have come for volleyball events, Americas Got Talent performers, working on the Chevron Refinery, executives for SpaceX, guests coming for Reproductive purposes, visiting family and some just wanting to enjoy Sunny Southern California. The adjacent beach of Hermosa Beach is a big party location, Manhattan Beach is an upscale shopping and where to be seen location and Redondo Beach is a down to earth, family friendly beach to enjoy sites and sun. Conveniently located to many major So Cal attractions such as Disneyland, Hollywood, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm, beaches and more but then come home to a safe neighborhood that is clean and quiet Farmers market at the pier on Thursday morning and on Sunday in the Redondo Beach Riviera Village for good eats and fresh produce/fruit/and more....
What makes this Condo unique
You will love the ocean breezes and the sunshine here. Neighbors are friendly and the city is happy and down to earth. Whatever you feel like doing whether it is relaxing, exploring, or going out dancing, it is all here. And most of it you can walk to or take a quick uber drive or bus to get there.

Nice condo but inadequate heat in some rooms and clothes left in the closet.
I’m sorry for the response. Since this is a condo that the owner occupies from time to time for personal use, they do leave some personal items in one closet in the master bedroom. Otherwise all closets are for guests to use. In addition, both bedrooms have heaters, the master has a portable heater and the living room has the fireplace. To date, most people have never complained but if you return I would be happy to bring in some more space heaters for your use.
My roommates and I enjoyed our 1 month stay at this Airbnb! Julie was very nice and always answered my texts. We stayed here during December and there was no heating in the master bedroom, but Julie helped me find a portable heater which helped a lot. Convenient location by restaurants and a Whole Foods. It takes about 15 min to walk to the water/pier area.
Thank you for staying here and being such a wonderful guest. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. We hope to have you back again.
Warm Refards from Redondo Beach.
Nice, comfortable layout and incredible location!
We had a wonderful family vacation in South Bay, just a few blocks from the beach. The condo was spacious, and could comfortably sleep 6-8. The amenities were nice, and with the space, we were able to celebrate Thanksgiving with 8 people. The garage worked out great. I enjoyed coffee on the patio every morning. My suggestions would be to correct the wiring issue between the master bedroom and the bedroom across the hall, and while the condo was nice and clean upon arrival, it could stand a deeper cleaning to get things like dust on the ceiling fans. Overall, a great stay at a great property!
Thank you for the review and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I appreciate the feedback and would like to know in more detail what you mean by the "wiring issue". I will
Look into the deeper cleaning as well. Hope you come back soon.
We enjoyed the condo so much. Very neat, clean and had everything we needed. Had such a great vacation.
I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay. Please come again soon.
Had an awesome family vacation!
This place was just as is the photos. Julie was awesome and helpful with any questions we had. We could walk to many places and restaurants. The location was a little further from the beach but it didn’t impact us as we just drove a short distance 8minutes to the beautiful beach. Driving made it easier to bring all our beach things, anyway. Great place to stay!! Fun had by all family members.
Thank you for the kind response. We are so glad you had a wonderful time and hope to see you again soon!
Julie was fantastic property manager. Great communication & acoomodating.
Condo was roomy & provided everything we needed for a 2 wk stay.
Thank you for staying! Please come again soon.
There's more to Redondo Beach than just the sandy fringe where it meets the Santa Monica Bay. You'll plenty of things to do there, whether you're going for a day or looking for a beach getaway. Most of it is in the area centered on the Redondo Beach marina and pier.
I rate Redondo Beach 3.5 stars out of 4 for its oceanfront location, beaches and fun things to do on the pier.
Things to Do in Redondo Beach
Redondo Beach: The sandy part of Redondo Beach is just south of the pier. Lifeguards are on duty here, watching kids and adults alike bobbing around in the surf.
Redondo Beach Pier: The U-shaped pier bristles with fishing poles, and once in a while you'll see someone reel in a catch. You'll also find restaurants and fast-food stands. There are plenty of souvenir shops, too, one of which touts a 16-and-a-half-foot long great white shark on display (which is, thankfully, dead).
Rent a Bicycle: Ride a little or ride a lot. The oceanfront bike path is flat and runs for more than 20 miles up to Santa Monica.
Sport Fishing: Half-day and longer deep-sea fishing trips leave from the marina. No pole? No problem. Rent equipment at the tackle shop nearby. Catches around Redondo Beach include halibut, mackerel, bonita, sand bass and yellowtail.
Rent a Kayak: The marina and nearby harbor offer plenty of room to paddle around in protected water and lots to see.
Take a Speedboat Ride: The Ocean Racer is a 70-foot, 140-passenger speedboat. It blasts off hourly on weekends and holiday afternoons.
Head for the Riviera: Some people say this six blocks of unique, local shops, salons and eateries resemble southern France. I wouldn't go quite that far, but it is very appealing. You can get there by walking along the oceanfront sidewalk south from the pier, driving south from the pier on Catalina Avenue or taking Beach Cities Transit bus #104.
Go for a Swim: You can swim in the ocean, but if you like your water calmer, Seaside Lagoon offers a salt water pool with sandy beaches.
Watch the Grunion Run: No, this isn't a 5K or a 10K. Instead, it's the mating spectacle of small, silvery fish that spawn en masse on southern California beaches shortly after high tide shortly after a full moon. The peak spawning period is late March through early June.
Redondo Beach Tips
You can park in the lot at the pier. Many of the businesses on the pier will validate your parking.
In other areas, you'll find parking meters
The Redondo Beach Farmers Market takes up many of the parking places in the lot south of the pier on Thursday mornings.
You'll find public restrooms on the pier and above the oceanfront sidewalk south of it.
From May through July - but most often in June - Redondo Beach can be shrouded in fog all day. Those are good days to go to other sight seeing attractions like Hollywood or Disneyland. Spring and fall are usually beautiful. So is winter and during this time a place of great peace and serenity. Go early in the day for a quiet walk on the beach or later to enjoy the people.
