Lovely villa and pool by the sea
We had a fabulous time at Villa Grace – Viganj just gets better each time we visit! Fanny was very helpful and all went smoothly and it was a great holiday. I am sure we will want to return to Villa Grace!
Great villa. Fantastic location.
Our extended family stayed at Villa Grace for 2 weeks in July. The villa is spacious and with enough bathrooms to make a large group visit possible. There is a wonderful shaded terrace with stunning views on the first floor and a large patio area with plenty of shade and seating. The pool is a real bonus. The sea is just a few steps from the house, with fantastic snorkelling. I recommend very early morning swims when the sea is at it's most calm. Viganj itself is perfect for a family holiday. It is small and untouristy yet has everything you need. There is a shop which sells everything, including fruit, veg and fresh bread and some nice restaurants. The water sports are amazing. We spent most days doing something at Water Donkey, a great water sports centre. The children learnt to wind surf and the older ones to kite surf. There was sea kayaking and paddle boarding for the youngest (11). In the evenings the young ones could wander along the front to buy a gelatti or a crepe. The older ones checked out the bar and played pool. The evenings were warm and quiet. We loved Viganj. We had a rushed day trip to Dubrovnik, Took the ferry a number of times over to the beautiful town of Korcula and ate at its fantastic restaurants. We went on a guided hike to a deserted village and archeological cave site which shouldn't be missed. The highlight of our boat trip was a day with Goran. He took us to small inslands and provided a fantastic picnic. Lindsey, the owner, could not have been more helpful. She was very patients with all our questions and helped set us up to meet Goran. Can't recommend this Villa dna Viganj highly enough. We will be back. Thanks Lindsey.
Beautiful villa, beautiful sea, beautiful pool, welcoming and friendly local people and nice food in surroundings restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend the place. Thank you so much Lindsey!
Thank you - delighted you enjoyed your holiday in Villa Grace and found the villa and pool beautiful, and enjoyed the local restaurants and seaside. We would appreciate your recommendations and would love to welcome you back to Villa Grace again soon. Best wishes, Lindsey
Great villa in an amazing location
We spent a week at Villa Grace in August 2015. There were five of us, so there was plenty of room. We had mixed weather and found that it could change very quickly. There were some spectacular thunderstorms, but they blew through quickly and the sun was soon back.
Viganj is so unspoilt. We loved the road along the front with the walkers, bikers, rollerbladers, skateboarders and occasional car. The view from the balcony was fantastic, so much going on. Lots of boats of various sizes, windsurfers, kite surfers doing stunts, kyakers, swimmers and snorkellers. We rather wished we had bought binoculars with us.
We had a good day on Korcula, taking the car over on the ferry so that we could explore more when we got there.
We had hoped to take the Catamaran to Dubrovnik one day, but found that it was fully booked. If you plan a visit to Villa Grace be warned. You can book online in advance it seems.
We hired a RIB boat in Orebic and explored some of the smaller islands, before heading to Extravanca for lunch – in a tiny cove north of Viganj. We also went out with snorkels, hired jet skis (also in Orebic) and Kyaks from Water Donkey.
The local shop is a short stroll away and had everything that we needed, likewise the fruit and veg shop where we filled up with wine. We had some great meals out in Viganj and found the locals welcoming and friendly. I would love to return.
Thank you Henrietta, we also hope you return to Villa Grace soon and get to do that day trip to Dubrovnik. What a lovely active holiday you had! So pleased to hear you loved the fantastic balcony, the view and the seaside location. Perhaps that was where you relaxed…or maybe it was just slowing to the Dalamatian summer pace and enjoying being in the quiet location at the heart of the village, with everything you needed a short walk away! Please return when you can, we will be happy to provide binoculars so you can sleepily view the sea scenes from the recliners!!
Fabulous location, 10 of us had a great time
We were a group of 10, two families, and had a fantastic time staying at Villa Grace, our first visit to Croatia. Lindsey the owner was helpful and responsive and straightforward from the very first email contact right through to the detailed info pack, tips on what to do and where to go, she really helped us to get the most from our trip. Villa Grace is located right on the sea front in Viganj, we enjoyed early morning swims in the clear warm sea before breakfast each day (and many times again during the day) and the children loved the pool too. Good little shop v close by, fresh bread and pastries each day. We had two trips to nearby lovely village of Loviste, right at the end of the peninsula. Also very much enjoyed Korcula old town and of course the day trip to Dubrovnik, although that was incredibly hot in mid August .. We hired kayaks a couple of times from Water Donkey in the village. A real highlight was a boat trip with Lindsey's contact in Korcula called Goran. I'd say a trip on his boat is a must. It's just you and your friends/family, he will collect you from the pier in Viganj. He is an incredibly friendly engaging chap with good English who has lived in Korcula all his life and can take you to some idyllic little islands where you can swim and he brings a picnic and some homemade winw. Very reasonable price and an unforgettable day. The house itself was exactly as described, big and clean and well looked after. Lovely big verandah on first floor which we used a lot. Thanks for a brilliant holiday.
Really pleased you had a brilliant holiday at Villa Grace, found it just as advertised and very conveniently located for swimming in the sea before breakfast, fresh bread and pastries!! Thank you for complimenting Villa Grace on being big and clean and well looked after, our cleaning and maintenance team will be delighted you noticed their efforts.
Glad you enjoyed your days out, and boating with Goran, there are truly idyllic places to explore, literally from the doorstep. Thank you, and we do hope you will be able to return soon and discover even more.
Just awesome. Me and my family of 10 had fantastic time in Villa Grace, house has lots of room. Villa is right at sea front, pool was divine. We barbecued and relaxed on the recliners in between dips in the sea and pool!
Shop was nearby for supplies, but we ate out a lot, restaurants all good and inexpensive. Some of us hired bikes and explored and some enjoyed boating and windsurfing. I loved taking the small ferry to Korcula for dinner.
This was our first time in Croatia, and highly recommend Villa Grace and hope to go back soon. Thanks so much.
Thank you K, good to hear you and your family had such a fantastic time in Villa Grace at the sea front. So glad you found it awesome and enjoyed the peaceful location in the heart of the village. We hope you will be able to return soon as there is so much more to do and see! Many thanks, Lindsey
