Just south of the tranquil hamlet of Vine Valley in the southeast quadrant of Canandaigua Lake is South Lake Road, a private residential area with little traffic and plenty of off-road parking. At #1025 you’ll find Barn-Aweigh with its magnificent view of the lake and surrounding hills.

Barn-Aweigh, a lakefront property, is conveniently located between the city of Canandaigua with its many tourist attractions (including the NYS Culinary and Wine Center, CMAC Performing Arts Center and Sonnenberg Gardens) and Naples, NY, heart of the region’s wine country.

This South Hill area of Canandaigua Lake is a popular spot for summer fun: boating, swimming and fishing. During the spring and fall it is an excellent central point from which to view foliage, sample local wines or go antiquing. Winter activities include ice fishing and skiing nearby.

Barn-Aweigh, a spacious duplex featuring two livings rooms, 2 kitchens, 3 shower baths and 6 bedrooms, easily sleeps 12. The smaller, 2-bedroom, ranch-style apartment also boasts a living room fireplace. The larger unit with its 4 bedrooms and 2 baths has a large Great Room adjacent to the second floor bedrooms and bath. Both units are connected by a large screened porch stretching across the entire front of the cottage.

Barn-Aweigh has a recently constructed dock and boat hoist on over 100 feet of lake frontage. The public boat launch is one mile away. On the shore there is a fire pit and picnic table as well as a changing area. Adjacent to the cottage is a large lawn with picnic tables, charcoal grills and space for lawn games. The 45 acres uphill behind the cottage are available for hiking.

Summer rentals from Memorial Day thru Labor Day are $2995 per week for the entire cottage. Off-season rentals from September through May can be either weekly or monthly. Special arrangements for family pets are available.
