Are you looking for a vacation rental that provides peace and quiet? Want to get away from all the hustle and bustle of city life? Then this is the house for you! In 2008 Hurricane Ike devastated the Caplen Shore subdivision. Pelican Bluff is the first home to return. You will have complete privacy with no neighbors. This beach house has a spectacular 180 degree gulf view from the living room, master bedroom and guest bedroom! Sleeping quarters include master bedroom with king size bed, guest room with queen bed and a bunk room with 1 full and 1 twin bed. Beds for 7 people plus a queen sofa bed and twin roll away provides sleeping for up to 10 guests. All bedrooms include a TV and built in DVD player. The house is also a split floor plan with bedrooms on each side of the house. The living room sports a big screen TV, WIFI & Pandora.. But the best part is the beachfront view! Watch the sun rise or sun set, see the ships travel on the Gulf and dolphins frolic in the water. A quick walk puts you on a secluded area of the beach with very little traffic. A six foot wide golf cart path makes getting to the beach quick and easy. The grill, built in picnic tables and outdoor shower downstairs make entertaining easy and enjoyable in any kind of weather. Plenty of parking for guests, boats and trailers. Large groomed lawn for horseshoes and volleyball. Into birdwatching?? Because there is so much vacant land and because Bolivar Peninsula is know for its bird migration, guests can sit on the deck and see many different kinds of birds including the Roseate Spoonbill. Need another house for family reunions? Check out my first beachfront property Pelican Bay. It is located approx 1/4 mile from Pelican Bluff, also beachfront and can be viewed at property #562649

About Margene Walz
Hi, Welcome to my home – My name is Margene Walz. I am the owner and am thrilled to show you around. Many years ago I moved to California from Nebraska but have always missed the mid-western values and hospitality. Through the advice of my brother Mike Walz of Crystal Beach's Walz Family Builders I seized the opportunity to sell my California condominium and built on Bolivar. I appreciate the area and the hospitality. It is like coming back to my roots. I am very pleased to be able to share my home with you. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. (By the way...the picture is of my great nephew, Alex. He photographs cuter than I do.)
Margene Walz purchased this House in 2016
Why Margene Walz chose Crystal Beach
Since my brother owns a home and a business in Crystal Beach I have visited many times. Each time I fell more and more in love with the area. I decided to invest my retirement money here and started with Pelican Bay. It has been such a pleasant experience with wonderful, wonderful guests! So when an opportunity arose I jumped at the chance to purchase a second home. I can't wait to share this peaceful stress-free beach with you.
What makes this House unique
The most spectacular thing about Pelican Bluff is the unobstructed beach front view. The front deck is 16' deep - 8' is covered and 8' is uncovered. Guests are able to enjoy the shade, read, sip a glass of wine or beer or tan in the sunshine. Since there are no neighbors guests will have a peaceful and quiet stay. The family area under the house includes a shower, a two built-in picnic tables and charcoal grill. It is a wonderful area that will accommodate many family members and guests. Plus it is brand new and offers you all the comforts of home with the additional bonus of hearing and watching the surf.

I wanted a beautiful beachfront view and I got it! Exactly like the pictures!
We had so much fun collecting seashells and oyster shells on the beach! We tried Stingarees and it was pretty good. We also found a guy that sold shrimp right off the main road and cooked in some seasoning on the grill. Better than the restaurant! We will definitely come back!
An awesome property, secluded, great view from the deck early mornings and evenings, easy beach access, well maintained , new condition. This is our second stay at this property...Both stays were great.
Excellent Accommodations and Wonderful View
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a big hit with the kids. Aside from the rain and wind for the first 2 or 3 days, we had a great time. The beach is pretty much all yours. We hardly saw anyone other than the occasional passing people walking the beach. We found tons of shells, though no sand dollars. If you forgot to bring anything, The Big Store down the street will probably have it. It was a pleasant and relaxing stay and will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends.
We really enjoyed our stay. The view was great and the kids had a wonderful time swimming and playing on the beach. The only improvement I can suggest is installing an additional smal handrail on top or on the side of the current one. This would help small children and their grandparents- nothing fancy, just an easier grip.
The house was spacious and secluded. We rarely saw others on our end of the beach. The house was well equipped for our needs and was by far the best choice on the beach. We had several properties we were trying to decide between and finally chose this one for our stay. While here we rented a golf car and drove up and down the beach and passed by all the homes we had also considered. We made the best choice by far. If you love crowds and lots of cars wizzing passed your kids on the sand chose another property....but if you want serenity and seclusion chose this property. You will be very glad you did.
Peaceful and secluded.
Our experience was everything we hoped it would be.
