Our Chalet resides within Collins Resort which offers generous amenities - includes a clubhouse with free WIFI, year-round heated swimming pool, leisure pool, hot tub, a sauna, walking and snow shoeing trails, and an extensive shuttle system during peak season. Collins Resort, at Mount Hood, has year-round appeal for young families and empty nesters.

'The Creek Ridge Chalet was very nice, with comfortable furnishings and a fully stocked kitchen. It was very clean which I greatly appreciate!!! It was loaded with lots of extras too. Games, puzzles, books, extra blankets & pillows, lots of towels, a high chair, a pack n play, laundry soap, hot cocoa, napkins, etc..

2 large couches and an over sized chair in living room, a large dining table with 6 chairs, and 4 bar stools at the breakfast bar nicely accommodated our group of 8. TV's in every bedroom and in the living room, and much more! A nice view of the trees and snow off the large back balcony, and because it's located at the end of the building at the end of the road, there was no traffic- very nice because we have young kids that were able to play in the snow at the end of the road and directly behind the chalet too. We will definitely stay here again if it's available for our next trip to Mt Hood.' - Happy Guest

Great Condo

  • 4 of 5

We rented this condo for a weekend on Mt. Hood. The condo was nice and comfy and located on a dead end street, which was great for going out and playing. Being at Collins Lake meant we could swim at the clubhouse and we also loved having a (heated) garage to pull into!

The 3rd bedroom does not have a door FYI, but our son slept in there so it wasn't a problem for our family. It's kind of an alcove, not a room. It had bunk beds and a TV and our son loved being in there.

One thing for us...this rental wants up to 30 days to refund the $200 deposit they take from you. I didn't catch that in the agreement. We have always received our deposits within 5 days on checking out of a rental and did not like the fact that returning it took so long (we received it 16 days after checking out, via mail).

Otherwise, the place is great. We enjoyed it and would recommend it!

We want to go BACK!!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful time and it was the perfect condo! Great location, great area, it exceeded my expectations! We are from California and have never been to Oregon so it was quite a treat. We were so fortunate to have a wedding that required us to be there because we found this place. We were all very comfortable and just loved the area. There was so much for us to do. We were sad that we had to leave. We hope we can make it back. We want to bring our kids so they can enjoy it as much as we did! The Timberline Lodge is very close by and that is a must see place. It felt so historical and we were lucky to attend a wedding at the Silcox Hut. We took a snow cat up the mountain. What a fantastic experience. It was May, we left 80 degree weather and went to the snow! It was amazing. We were woken up by huge snowflakes our first morning there. Being from Southern CA, we don't get to see that very often. Truly a great place to visit and explore. Everything in the condo was perfect! Clean, well maintained, helpful owners, and everything was as described. We loved that it was nice and warm waiting for us! Thank you for the awesome accommodations!

Great time at the Mt

  • 5 of 5

Collins Lake Resort is an Awesome place in a fabulous location, right in Government Camp Village. They have a heated pool and 2 hot tubs, 1 of which is very large. These are open from 10am-11pm and we certainly put it to use. The lodge was nice too. They had a family movie night on Saturday and some other misc activities took place there throughout the weekend. Although the resort is large, and appeared to be at full capacity when we were there, it seemed quiet and the common areas were never crowded. We had neighbors on both sides of us, but never really heard any noise coming through the walls.

The Creek Ridge Chalet was very nice, with comfortable furnishings and a fully stocked kitchen. It was very clean which I greatly appreciate!!! It was loaded with lots of extras too. Games, puzzles, books, extra blankets & pillows, lots of towels, a high chair, a pack n play, laundry soap, hot cocoa, napkins, etc..

We will definitely stay here again if it's available for our next trip to Mt Hood. Thanks Lisa!

Creek Ridge Chalet was everything....and more!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a wonderful time at this chalet. It was beautiful and had everything we could hope for. They should perhaps showcase in their description all the extra amenities they offer. I wasn't sure what to take but didn't really need anything. Even fresh condiments, canned food and laundry detergent was available to guests. I was concerned that it may not be really, really kid friendly since some other chalets at Collins Lake showcase kid's toys and games. However, they had games, books, puzzles, a sled, and even sippy cups. Really, really convenient and comfortable. We certainly hope to stay again there soon!
