About Patrick Smith
Executive Chef Pat Smith has lived and worked in Nashville for 30 years. World traveler, Chef Pat, is a bar-b-que aficionado, and has spent his life following his passion for food and hospitality. Chef Pat purchased Arranmore because it reminded him of the rolling hills of Arranmore Island, located in Donegal County Ireland. His relatives migrated to the US during the potato famine where they took up residence on a beautiful island in Michigan which reminded them of their Irish home. Arranmore is a tribute to both the Northwestern coastal Ireland and the island home Chef's Patrick's ancestry.

We had a great stay at the Arranmore. My family gathered together to celebrate my parents 60th wedding anniversary, and the Arannmore was a fantastic place to do that. The home is beautifully designed and decorated, with plenty of space for everyone. The teenagers, young adults, middle-agers and more mature adults all enjoyed staying at this lovely property. The home sits on a lovely piece of land with lots of room to walk about, enjoy the back patio, the two ponds, etc. From the moment that we walked in we felt welcomed, and the home comes equipped with so many little extras that make you feel like you could easily just settle in. Patrick does a wonderful job of staying in touch, and making you aware of the goings-on in the area. – This was a great place from which to Nashville and enjoy a slice of the Tennessee countryside. We would definitely come back for another visit.
Perfect house for a family gathering.
This house was perfect for our family to meet at a middle point between everyone and celebrate grandmas 80th. We had plenty of room to sleep 10 adults and 4 kids and had room for a few more if needed. It took us a minute to figure out who was going to sleep where as there are two "traditional" bedrooms, but the important thing was we had plenty of space. The kitchen and living room area was perfect for everyone to gather and spend time together nearly the entire day. The outdoor space is wonderful and would be even better if it wouldn't have been raining. The master suite is exceptional and would be an even nicer place to truly take advantage of if you had a week long stay or more. There is a large dining room table that comfortably sat everyone for a nice dinner. We used the formal china for that meal and it was a nice touch for grandmas 80th birthday dinner. While we only stayed three nights, the house easily felt like home. The home wasn't too over the top decorated or polished to where you felt uncomfortable and that made it easier to settle in and relax. It felt like a home not a rental. I would highly recommend this home for your family gathering. It was an easy 25 minute drive into downtown Nashville and 35 minutes from the airport.
Gorgeous! Quiet! This is HEAVEN!
This is my favorite house of all time! I have stayed in countless places across the country and none are as amazing as this. I look forward to revisiting so much that I'll plan my next vacation around it. Thank you Patrick for sharing this beautiful retreat!
Lovely convenient location.
My family had a wonderful stay at Patrick's home. Patrick was in constant contact with us as we traveled. We arrived late in the evening and the lighted home was a welcoming sight!
We would select this homeaway from home again!
Good location and good house
Great vacation with group of friends
Perfect for a large group to spread out and relax.
Arranmore worked beautifully for our extended family gathering of 13 people to spread out. The host, Patrick, was very responsive and accommodating and his smoked ribs and brisket were divine. The kids in our group enjoyed the game room, swimming pool and ping pong table. The kitchen layout was great for the multiple home chefs in our group. We also appreciated the backyard patio and fireplace for gatherings in the evening.
