About Patrick Smith

Executive Chef Pat Smith has lived and worked in Nashville for 30 years. World traveler, Chef Pat, is a bar-b-que aficionado, and has spent his life following his passion for food and hospitality.

Chef Pat purchased Arranmore because it reminded him of the rolling hills of Arranmore Island, located in Donegal County Ireland. His relatives migrated to the US during the potato famine where they took up residence on a beautiful island in Michigan which reminded them of their Irish home.

Arranmore is a tribute to both the Northwestern coastal Ireland and the island home Chef's Patrick's ancestry.

Patrick Smith purchased this estate in 2009

Great property for a family reunion!

  • 5 of 5

For the last four years, our three families with six children total, have met for an annual get together in the Nashville area. This property was our favorite and accommodated all of us beautifully. The kids ranging from 6 to 17 had a blast (as did the adults) playing pool and ping pong. The clean and refreshing swimming pool was a fabulous respite to the summer heat. Patrick was helpful and always available if we had any questions. We plan to return in a couple of years!

Fabulous property.

  • 5 of 5

Arranmore is a beautiful setting to share good times with family and friends. Our group of eight adults had a fabulous time. The home is very inviting and comfortable, the setting so relaxing. The owner of the property is the perfect host. The many little extras he provided from fresh flowers to candy, fruit, and a mouth watering barbecue dinner on our arrival night makes this welcoming retreat all the more special to visit. Many thanks to our host.

Party of 9 and we had such an excellent time at this wonderful home! Plenty of room for everyone, great kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and great outdoor space. Awesome, huge pool too! Patrick was such a great host and so accommodating. And only 30 minutes from Nashville proper. Great stay. Would rent this house again!

Fantastic property with great owner!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 16 stay at the Arranmore and the guest house August 9-12 for my wife’s 40th. Prior to arrival, owner Patrick provided great communication and answered all of our questions. Upon arrival, Patrick was gracious enough to leave us some extremely delicious BBQ ribs to share along with a plate of cookies. This was a very pleasant surprise. There were a few questions we had during our stay and Patrick was always available by phone with an answer or suggestion. The house is amazing!! It provided plenty of room for our group. It is well stocked with all of the needed cooking utensils, cookware, and dishes. The outdoor fireplace area and the pool were both a big hit for us. The location of The Arranmore is about a 20-25 minute drive from Broadway in downtown Nashville. The Arranmore definitely has a secluded country feel but is still very close to stores and restaurants. We will definitely stay there again soon!!!
