Rachel purchased this House in 1997
Why Rachel chose Chester
We fell in love and purchased Russia Hall some 20 years ago and have lovingly restored and enhanced it ever since , maintaining original features and creating a home which is perfect for entertaining and relaxing in. We love attentional to detail and have carefully selected Artworks and furniture throughout the years that blend into the our quintessentially English Country home. Our love of the outdoors has meant we've created a garden which can be enjoyed through all seasons.
What makes this House unique
Russia Hall is unique, the staircase dates back as far as 1620, the rest of the house to the 1840's, there is an old oak tree in the grounds thought to be in the region of 200 years old.
Canceled bookings will not receive a refund
We stayed at Russia Hall for a weekend with a group of old friends and everything was perfect. Rachel was incredibly helpful, check in was straightforward and the house and gardens are absolutely stunning. We will certainly be back to stay at Russia Hall. Thank you for having us.
Thank you Sarah, so pleased to hear you all enjoyed your stay ...
Perfect house for weekend stay. Beautiful grounds and easy access to Chester city.
Process was great and regular contact with owner in advance. We were met at the property and given instructions on how to use everything. Property was perfect with lots of room for 2 families to socialise or find their own space.
Kitchen is well equipped and we even managed to cook with the aga.
Grounds are beautiful and our dogs loved the freedom and exploring.
A great weekend enjoyed by all
If you choose to leave Russia Hall, there are beautiful walks and views along the nearby sandstone trail which take in the Cheshire Plains and nearby Beeston Castle, at the end treat yourself to drinks or food at the old oak beamed Pheasant Inn.
The Famous Ice-cream Farm is also a family favourite. We're spoilt for choice with fantastic rural pubs to eat and drink in.
Our beautiful City is Chester, with its Ancient Roman walls, History, stunning Tudor buildings, cafes, restaurants, shops, theatre, nightlife, Chester Races and the National attraction of Chester Zoo.
The nearby Bolesworth Estate host major events such as International Horse shows, Concerts and Carfest.
Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales are easily reached by motorway and well worth a day trip. Chester to London is a 2 hour trip by train.
Russia Hall in itself is a Unique Stay, we appreciate our slightly rural situation, where the Cheshire Countryside can be tasted and fresh air breathed, yet we're not too far from the highly desirable City of Chester.
