9 Otter Lane worked perfect for our vacation. We where here with my son and his family who rented a house nearby so we could go back and forth between houses. Loved that it was close to SHARC and the Village. It did not have some of the amenities that other places have like bikes but we didn't need that. Even though it does not have air conditioning the bedrooms are down stairs and stayed cool.
House needs some tender loving care!!!!
Carpets where "really" dirty.......
Garage is NOT accessible to renters.
So after renting 6 expensive bikes, what was I suppose to do with them
each night. I feared that they would be stolen, so we had to go BUY bike
locks, so as to lock them up "every" time we came back to house. Please
put this information on your web page.
Be aware their is NO air conditioner. The upstairs living area of the house would get to 90* by mid-day. Maybe they should supply a few more fans for the quests, during the summer months. Or a little window a/c unit would help upstairs.
Location is close to the Share facility, and it is on a quiet cul-de-sac.
Love the Sunriver area, but would not rent this house again.
Good location, but somewhat dated property
We have stayed at Sunriver countless times over the years, so we have a lot to compare and we don't want to come off as high maintenance. We booked at last minute so choices were limited - but no AC in the summer was not ideal (cooled off at night and downstairs stayed somewhat cool for sleeping). But again, we knew no AC going into it. On the plus side, location is great - right across from SHARC (with passes) and 0.5 mile walk to Village Mall. Layout is nice with all bedrooms downstairs - master w/king, 2nd room w/queen, bunk room with 4 bunks. Upstairs has open floor plan with family room, dining area, and kitchen, with nice big deck off the back with 2 tables and BBQ. Everything in the house worked well with no issues (including BBQ, hot tub, appliances), with exception of DVD player. Property management office communication was excellent for arrival/departure and place was clean, so kudos to housekeeping staff. On the minus side, the house is dated and could use some TLC - paint, carpet, new fixtures, etc. - nothing major, it's just time for freshening up, especially at this property's price point. The TVs are small and the old box type with VHS and DVD player - no Bluray player, no HDMI inputs to bring your own players or hook up your own devices. DVD player would not play DVDs though without freezing multiple times through the movie. Trip to Costco can remedy this for less than cost of 1 night stay. That said, the TV subscription service had lots of channels and reception was fine. Also, internet/wifi was great for rental at ~50Mbps. Lastly, most places we've stayed at over the years have things like bikes in the garage to borrow - garage is locked and not accessible; not a deal breaker, but if you were planning to borrow bikes or park in garage (for winter), that won't happen. Overall, I wouldn't bookmark this as my "go to" Sunriver house, but would stay here again in a pinch. And a little upgrading that doesn't break the bank would go a long way. At the end of the day, however, we had a relaxing time and enjoyed the trip. Travelers for this trip: Dad, Mom, Son 19yo (+plus friend), Daughter 16yo (+plus friend).
