Simply the best place to stay in Southern Oregon! Spacious, elegant, fantsastic location!
This property is a beautifully kept historic home with all the modern amenities. Inside it is a spacious, well appointed home, with as many special details as there are flowers and plantings outside. It simply does not get more relaxing than to sit on the front porch or in the back garden and enjoy the evenings; Or you can dine alfresco with a dish you make in the well appointed kitchen with it's brick fireplace and rustic table; You can also spend your evening having wine and local treats with friends in the elegant dining room, or have your coffee and morning quiet time in the adjacent and very cozy living room. There are so many spaces to enjoy here, both indoor and out. Finally, the location is the best! You can walk right out the backdoor into the residential backstreets for a stroll, or out the front door to the main street of historic Jacksonville with its boutiques and restaurants; And to get some exercise just find your way a few streets over to the famous Jacksonville forest trails which meander for miles around the town and are perfect for morning runs or a leisurely nature walk. There is simply no better place to spend your time in Jacksonville.
Brendan and sometimes his family stayed at the cottage for several months. It worked out very well for both as it was our slow season. We are glad it worked for them and appreciate them taking the time to review us. Thank You for staying.
Supe cute 1867 Cottage! We loved our trip
Definitely recommend this cozy historical cottage !
Very clean, equipped and walking distance to the town. Meet the lovely owners!
This home will not disappoint!!
Step into history
The walls in this cottage must have many stories to tell. The interior is a blend of elegant old world charm with complete modern day conviences. A very special house in an ideal location. Looking forward to my third stay.
We loved our 2 nights at The Armstrong Cottage. The cottage is spacious, the kitchen is so well-equipped, and we appreciated having the washer and dryer. It's ideally located right across the street from a coffee shop, and right next door to a bike shop-especially nice since we are bikers. And what an easy walk home after a concert at the Britt Festival!
Perfect size, fit and location for my wife and I
We loved it! My wife loves the 'little cottage' stay in cute places, and this on fits perfect.
She could walk to the shops, which are literally 2-3 short blocks away. If you can obtain tickets to the Britt, it's another block further. I have family on the west side of Medford and could reach them in a few minutes. In all the greater Rogue Valley area there are three of our favorite restaurants in Jacksonville, within walking distance. Ray's market is two blocks away.
The home had all the needs; kitchen was modern and had all the necessities. For our visit, an important item was the air conditioning, which was set perfect. The house was kept cool when the exterior was in the high 90's. Has television, internet, etc. all working great.
A modern interior in a cute antique exterior.
Christmas in Jacksonville
We visit Jacksonville a least twice a year and have stayed in many of the hotels and several home rentals. We really enjoyed our Christmas stay at this historic property in downtown Jacksonville. The home is quite large and includes a comfortable living room, quaint kitchen with a fireplace, large dining room, bedroom and TV room. The home is located on California Street which is the main street running through town and it is one block to the city center. My only small suggestion would be for the home to provide shampoo to quests. We look forward to renting this home again!
