About Dave Wells
We moved to Sproxton in summer 2018 and have had an amazing time so far. We are improving and updating the cottages, with big plans for 2019. We achieved Super Host status on AirBnB within 3 months of joining and are proud of the compliments and reviews we have received so far. We are new to Home Away and our current lack of reviews is because we could not carry forward the many positive reviews achieved by the previous owners. Keep up-to-date with what's happening with our cottages and the local area by following us on Facebook (SproxtonHallCottages).

Why Dave Wells chose Ryedale District
The views are stunning and we are ideally located for days out - whether these are tranquil walks in the National Park or Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (one side of the road through Sproxton is in the National Park, the other in the AONB) or more active days out at the many tourist attractions nearby. Our location is ideal any time of the year - when the weather is typically British - historic York and Harrogate offer plenty to see and do. Our cottages are welcoming for families and couples (young and old). We are pleased to welcome back a large number of repeat visitors and their friends/family.

A half term break
An absolutely wonderful property perfectly located for three of us to explore the North Yorks.
Cottage had everything you needed and if anything the location was to perfect to get out and explore and we never really stayed long enough to enjoy what was on the doorstep.
The owners were fantastic and happy to give advice and answer our questions. We visit the area regularly so next time the whole family will be coming.
Lovely cottage in a great location!
Dave couldn't have been nicer! We stayed a bit later than check out time and it was no trouble. Dave had also left us a lovely bottle of wine. The cottage itself is modern and clean but still with plenty of character. The location is perfect, sandwiched beyween two villages both of which have plenty of food/ pub options. Would stay again :)
