Cute but small bungalow in an interesting french district near downtown

  • 4 of 5

Cute but small bungalow in an interesting french district near downtown with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Pop's Cafe is a two block walk and is great for breakfast and lunch. The only problem I encountered is that a permit is required to park in front of the house, otherwise you must use a narrow driveway that only a small car will fit into. Plenty of interesting architecture in the neighborhood and has the feel of an up and coming neighborhood.

Loved this little gem!

  • 5 of 5

We had an awesome time staying at this home. It is just what you need for a stay. It is clean, has all you need as far as utensils, cooking essentials as well as blankets and pillows. Great location within walking distance for food which is nice.

Easy to communicate with Mark as we had an issue with the heater. Thanks to his easy accessibility he was able to fix it within a day and also brought extra blankets for us since we were all cold coming from Hawaii.

Would definitely stay at again!!

This home is very well taken care of and well kept for 100 year cottage home. We were very satisfied

  • 5 of 5

Our 3 day stay was perfect for our family of 4. The cottage was a great place to come for rest. I loved the queen bed. Bedding was cozy and the mattress very comfortable. The cottage is well cared for and in excellent condition for 100 year home. Driveway is best for smaller vehicle.

Beautiful, comfortable and welcoming!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy craftsman! The house was small, but it was more than enough space for us, two adults and two small children. I loved the character and the fact that the house still has antique fixtures, having been built in the 1920s. We walked to breakfast at Pop’s cafe, a block away, spent the days visiting Santa Ana and the surrounding areas. Everything seemed to be relatively close to the house. The neighborhood was quiet, we always felt safe. We hope to visit again-we loved our stay! Thank you Mark!

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house. It was an easy 10 minute drive to Disneyland. The neighborhood is quiet and clean and the people are great. There is a laundromat just a couple blocks away and food also within walking distance. The house was clean and worked awesome, even with four small kids and two adults.

The bedroom bed was very comfortable, and my kids didn’t complain about the couch bed.

My only complaints (if you can cal them that) is that the “carpet” bamboo stuff in the bedroom and dining room hurt your feet and is not easy to clean. For the bedroom that’s not a problem but in a dining room it was very odd. I also wish they had a full size broom so we could have swept up the kids trails. But this things are minor and would not deter me from staying her again. It was truly a beautiful stay.

Adorable, and close to Downtown!

  • 5 of 5

Upon entry, we fell in love with this cozy, historic Craftsman home. We spent time admiring all the cute quirks of the house, and the decor, including the outdoor sitting area in the backyard. True, this house is on the small-size, but we didn’t have any issues with the amount of space. There are plenty of storage areas, an ambundance of linens, and the sofa-sleeper is a good addition. There’s also a driveway, which was especially convenient. The property owner, Mark, was always responsive when I’d contact him with questions. I found the value of the nightly rate of this house to be especially great, considering how CLOSE we were to Downtown Santa Ana. We spent a lot of time there, enjoying the many hip places, including art galleries, cafes, markets, and apparel shops. While being relatively close to the freeway, the neighborhood is still clean, quiet, and not congested with traffic. Thanks for a great stay, Mark!
