Overview

About the property

Big Field Cabin is a large screened room, 16 x 16, is secluded and nesteled off the end of a 40 acre pasture and also backs up to a smaller field. It enjoys the benefit of being surrounded by oak, and pines, birds, deer, rabbits and blue herons that fly over from two bordering creeks. It has a fantastic view for stargazing. Sounds of nature and gentle breezes are tranquilizing. Walk to creek/more.

Beautiful property with plenty of peace and quiet!!

  • 5 of 5

Martha's farm is gorgeous and there are several places to explore! The community reading room and the hangout/multipurpose/dining/art area were awesome with plenty of space to relax, lay in a hammock, or play the drums! The farm kitchen is adorable, the "Farmuseum" is interesting, and the old buildings are mysterious!

We had an awesome bonfire, we walked along the trails, and we went to the lake with Martha's lake pass! We had such a relaxing time and we appreciate her generous hospitality.

If you drive, we recommend an SUV because the hills can test your alignment a little bit! Don't drive on the old logging trail! We decided to explore down there and we got our truck stuck in the mud but Martha and her daughter helped us get out of it!

If you're looking for a rugged agricultural experience without any outside distractions, this is the place. We recommend bringing easy to make food and your own bath products! Also bring extra clothes because it can get chilly at night but it's worth it for the fabulous star view.

We would definitely stay again!
