About Marti Golson
My name is Marti Smith Golson. I am a 35+ year resident of Bluffton. I grew up in Bluffton with my family and now I am raising my 2 sons with my husband in Bluffton. I privately own the home but also own a local real estate company, Martha Crapse Realty, that has been in our family for over 50 years. We specialize in rentals which lead me to converting the cottage to a short term rental. Myself or a family memeber are always close by for assistance during your stay. We take pride in our rental and our town. We hope you'll enjoy your stay at our recently remodeled/updated home.
Why Marti Golson chose Olde Town
Someone should consider staying at my place because it is located in a very settled neighborhood, the very one I grew up in. It offers peace and quiet and a sense of not being in the busy part of town while still minutes away from restaurants, shopping & day trips. If your looking to take an adventure with your boat, kayaks or even golf cart then my house is minutes away from the All Joy Boat ramp on the May River which offers boat launching and parking. You can bring your golf cart and enjoy cruising the streets of All Joy or possibly come down to the All Joy Public Beach for a swim in the May River. Either way, my place is designed to accommodate you or your family as if it was my own staying.

Bluffton is a friendly, Quaint little town with lots to do and only 20 minutes from a cool beach.
I’d go again! Marti is a great land lord and was on top of any thing we needed.
Cozy Home Outside Savannah
This cozy home in Bluffton was perfect for our two night stay. Just a 30 minute drive to downtown Savannah, this quiet home was a great midpoint to all the sites while still having a nice quiet and serene space. While we didn't use all of the amenities provided because of our short stay, it was nice to know we had a full kitchen, dishes, etc. if we needed them. The bedrooms comfortably slept 3 of us, and the living area was spacious enough for us to relax at the end of the day. Marti was a great communicator leaving a notepad of instructions in the house and texting me before our arrival.
Thanks so much for your positive and detailed review of my cottage. Hope you will stay with me again!
A cozy, quiet hideaway.
I had a lovely two month stay here, March-April, in Bluffton. This place is on a large lot, perfect for my dog. It's very comfortably furnished, with new appliances and a large, wonderful shower. I am a retired single female, and I felt very safe and secure all the time. You are tucked away from the road, so there is peace and quiet at night. But, you are in the center of lots of recreational, historic, and beautiful places. Right down the street is Bluffton, lots of galleries, shops, restaurants, and well preserved buildings. Gorgeous live oak trees, Spanish moss, azaleas, dogwood are everywhere. Also a great farmer's market on 'Thursdays. Within minutes, by car, you can be in Hilton Head Island. Beaches, marinas, too much for me to list. Then there is Savannah, Beaufort, Tybee Island, and all the beautiful Low Country islands and parks. This area around Bluffton is gorgeous. Thanks, Marti, for a wonderful stay!
Cozy vacation cottage
Close to Brighton Beach boat launch, old town Bluffton, and Hilton Head Island, this beachy decorated cottage is perfect for a getaway. It's located on a quiet street, yet minutes from restaurants and shops. Everything you need is provided, and the owner is very responsive.
Peaceful, comfortable, convenient to everything
This beautifully decorated home was a perfect get a way for my kids and I. We enjoyed being in the peaceful environment of Brighton beach and old town Bluffton, but yet being just a short drive to our favorite Hilton Head beaches. I liked being able to leave the husssle and bussel of the island and coming back to such a charming little home, that actually didn't feel thay tiny at all. My girls and I were able to run errands around the corner at target, but yet have the character of bluffton at our finger tips. Dubois park was a treat for my little ones, with its pirate ship playground under a huge oak tree. Also, we made the short drive down a scenic back highway to Savannah one evening, and had a blast at Forsyth park. What a great location! I enjoyed the interior design of the home. It was well stocked with everything you could think of, and was very clean. Marti was awesome and showed Southern hospitality at its finest! Thx Marti:)
All of our interactions with the host were great and we felt welcomed and cared for. The decor in the house is modern and clean but still has that beachy, May River, Bluffton feel! We stayed here with our 9-month old daughter and it was a great inexpensive alternative to a hotel room which would have been difficult with her at this age. Thank you for a great stay, Marti!
The house is located in a residential neighborhood that is made up of a variety of different types of houses, people and activities. The All Joy area which is the name of the neighorhood the house is located in, is just a minute away from the downtown Bluffton area but is known for being a low key, laid back neighborhood that allows people to do biking, walking, ride golf carts or enjoy the river view from the public boat ramp and beach area located along the May River.
Visitors will feel a sense of being part of the community and welcomed at every corner.
One of the many attractions of Bluffton is the May River. It offers visitors the chance to see wildlife, swim, fish, crabbing, shrimping, paddle boarding, kayaking, and much more. One of the most popular businesses to accommodate someone wanting to tour the river is mayriverexcursions.com. They offer inshore trips and ferry service to Daufuskie Island. Daufuskie is an island located about 30 minutes from Bluffton which is only accessible via boat or ferry. A good day trip to explore a s a residential sea island of South Carolina, located between Savannah, Georgia and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and about 2.75 miles offshore. The total island surface is just 8 square miles within the maximum length of 5 miles and maximum width of 2.5 miles.
Daufuskie has a full-time population of around 250. There are two resorts, a private residential community, and a large undeveloped tract of lands identified as residential property. The island was named a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places due to its Gullah and Civil War history.
Other day trip locations are Hilton Head Island (good for wanting to go to the beach), Beaufort (offers historical landmarks and Parris Island) or Savannah, GA (walk the cobblestone streets of River Street or explore the rich heritage).
