Enjoyed our stay, great place to get off the beaten path, property was great and well maintained. Had a brief issue with the Internet but John quickly resolved the issue.
Exceeded Our Expectations - What a Gem!
This guest house exceeded our expectations! It was a short walk to the water (less than five minutes), and had many great views which were available from various vantage points (upstairs balcony, the front porch, the 2 upstairs bedrooms). The house was well equipped with all the amenities that one would want. If one was to be knit-picky (and this is being extremely critical) the only thing that would have been nice (but wasn't a big deal for us) was a dishwasher. (Being the dishwasher for a week certainly didn't kill me!)
The house was tastefully decorated. The porches had a variety of seating available. The kitchen was well equipped. (When we needed a big pot to boil lobster the owners were more than happy to provide us with one). Having a washer/dryer was a perk - as we came home with no laundry! (A bonus in my book).
We had looked at hotel/motel rooms and nothing really compared to this. We had a whole house for the price of a hotel room. Evenings were spent curled up on comfy chairs and couches watching tv, using the free wifi, and enjoying microwave popcorn as we planned the next day's events. Mornings were spent - brewing up coffee ~ and enjoying the spectacular sunrises and in the evenings the stunning sunsets.
John and Lucy are the consummate host and hostess. (Friendlier people you'd be hard pressed to find!) John invited us out for some fishing. What a great opportunity to get out on the ocean and catch some fish! The pictures we got from the boat are ones that we will cherish and look upon this winter ~ as we wait not so patiently to return to this ocean view gem!
This is a guest house that we are looking forward to revisiting. We are certainly hoping to return next year!
(Note: this property is the perfect house for a couple, two couples ~ or a family. We brought back a handful of business cards and have handed them all out already. It's easy to recommend a place when it was just the perfect spot. If you are looking for wild nightlife - not wildlife this is not the place for you. If you're looking fora place to kick back, relax, recharge, and refocus this is the perfect getaway).
Thank you, so much! We are so please you had such an awesome vacation. John enjoyed taking you out for a fishing trip and a chance to see some whales.
We look forward to see you again!

July 2018 Visit
My wife and I, daughter and dog had a fantastic week at the rental! Right on the harbour so cool temps appreciated (break from Ottawa heat). Easy to visit sites in area like St. Andrews and the Fundy Isles. Especially appreciated John's visits to ensure all was fine, offer to spend time on his fishing boat (will find time next visit) and smoked mackeral he caught (yummy). Hope to visit again.
Thank you for the wonderful review! We are very happy you had an awesome vacation. Safe travels and we hope to see you again!

Wonderful vacation spot!
We travelled to Beaver Harbour for a family vacation with my husband, two daughters, my parents and my mother-in-law and had a fantastic time! John met us at the cottage when we arrived and was very helpful throughout the week when we had any questions about the cottage or fun things to do in the area. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed many nights up on the rooftop patio watching the boats in the harbour go out or watching the fog roll in. We did a lot of walking along the beach and found tons of sea glass! The cottage was in a great spot for a lot of day-trips; scenic sea caves, Hopewell Rocks, Fundy trail, St.Andrew-by-the-Sea, St.John, whale watching on Gramd Manan Island..we really enjoyed everything we did and loved coming home at night to our great little home-away-from-home to put our feet up and relax!! I rely a lot on reviews when booking rentals and all of the reviews on this cottage were correct - it was a fantastic place to stay!! Anyone looking to relax on the Bay of Fundy would have no problem doing that here! Thank you John & Lucy for being such wonderful hosts and sharing your home with us!
You are very welcome!
We are very pleased you had an awesome vacation and got to see some of our beautiful province.
Thank you for being great guests.
Hope to see you again,
John and Lucy
Cute, quiet and charming!
Wonderful people to deal with! And the cottage has a charming quality about it. If you’re looking for a place to stay while discovering the Bay of fundy coast, it’s the perfect place. It’s quiet and peaceful, while remaining close to the bigger cities/towns. My favourite part was sitting on the porch listening to the ocean. There’s a fire pit in the upper back yard which offers an impressive view of the harbour.
Definitely will be returning!
We are happy you had a nice vacation and got a chance to relax and enjoy a bit of quiet time.
Hope to see you again,
John and Lucy
Cozy home in Beaver Harbour
Really enjoyed our stay. Great views of the harbour and sunrise. House was very clean and very well equipped. Beds were very comfy and plenty of nice towels. We have done many VRBO rentals and this one ranks right up there. Would recommend this to friends.
We are very happy you enjoyed your vacation home and found it comfortable. We hope to see you again!
