'We've been renting houses at the Connecticut shore for six years, and your house is by far the nicest! There was plenty of room for the family and all of our friends and extended family who came to visit. Even with three messy teenagers, there's so much room the house always felt clean and comfortable. This has been such a relaxing vacation with all (and more) of the comforts of home.'
The London Family, Columbia, MD 8/8/09
We are located just four houses in from the water- a two minute walk, with a lovely water view from the front yard. On the first floor, there is a large eat-in kitchen, a dining room that seats eight with extra chairs available, living room, sun-room with table and chairs, and a full bathroom. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms (all with queen beds) and a full bathroom. Additionally, upstairs, there is a den with a flat screen TV that converts to a sleeping area for three (futon and single sofa bed). The den has sliding doors that open to an outside deck with nice water views.
Also, an upstairs sitting area can sleep one adult or two children on a futon. In the back yard the house has a large deck with table, lots of seating, and charcoal grill. We have converted the one-car garage to a play area with a ping-pong table, games, toys, and books.
The house is fully equipped with linens, towels, and paper supplies. The spacious kitchen has a dishwasher, refrigerator and gas range/oven. It is equipped with pots, pans, utensils and dishes. There is a microwave, blender, toaster and coffee maker. You can eat at the kitchen table, serve a larger group in the dining room, or have a family picnic out on the back porch/deck. Smoking outdoors only, please.
Our child-friendly home has two pack and plays, a high chair, stroller, beach toys, Ikea plastic ware, and lots of kids' toys and DVDs.
During the summer season, the house is available by the week only. Your stay begins Sunday at 4 pm and extends until the following Sunday at 11 am. During the rest of the year, it is available for rent by the weekend, week, month, or longer. We do not charge a separate cleaning fee; the home is cleaned between guests and the fee is included in our rates.
