This log cabin was built in the Beaverhead National Forest east of Sheridan, Montana in the 1930’s by the owners’ grandparents and moved in 2010. Presently, it is located 1 ½ miles west of Alder, Montana on a ranch. Though the exterior remains rustic, the interior has been completely remodeled. It is located one mile from a Ruby River fishing access, the heart of some of Montana’s best fishing. It also offers an easy drive to the Madison, Jefferson, Beaverhead and Big Hole Rivers. Apart from fishing, the area offers countless outdoor activities including bird and big game hunting, birding, hiking, garnet hunting, and cross country skiing. Historical Virginia City/Nevada City is a ten minute drive.
The cabin has a King sized bed in the great room and a trundle bed in the bedroom. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, and the kitchenette offers a cooktop, toaster oven, coffee pot, and a double sink. The large deck is furnished with patio furniture and a gas grill. Trees to the North create privacy on the deck yet great mountain views abound in every direction.
