Mountain Rustic Meets City Comfort Chic

Bedrooms 3
Space 1,100 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

New to VRBO- A local 1850's cabin: dismantled, reconstructed and reborn.

For you...

Here's a place for sittin' out on the large front porch or swinging' in the hammock , while sippin' a large glass of lemonade and telling big tales.

Here's a place for fixin' up smores around the fire, under the stars and a place for grilling' up some ribs and such.

Here's a place for a snug, cool mountain-air sleep- in a country style metal framed bed with crisp white linens (also central heat and air). There's one downstairs bedroom with a nearby full bath, and two separately divided sleeping rooms in the loft space upstairs. Both open to the balcony and cabin below, sharing a full bath.

You'll enjoy the city-slicker kitchen with brand spankin' new stainless appliances, granite countertops, cozy dining table and off- the kitchen there's a side porch where you'll find an outdoor propane grill. And for lingering all about the reborn cabin there are new, welcoming furnishings and mountain-salvaged accents.

And... Since you can't take the city out of the slicker, there are three flat screen TV's, WiFi and Cable.

And you know...The beauty of the cabin is also in it's gorgeous mountain surroundings.

It's approx. 20mins. from the heart of Asheville with has epicurean dining, numerous micro breweries and stellar entertainment. It 's also located approx. 10 minutes from the quaint little town of Weaverville with restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc. It's approx. 1 mile from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway (A car commercial-like perfect drive). It's 2 miles from the Reems Creek Golf Course, 15 mins. from Navitat Canapy Tours (most exhilarating zip-line around) and approx. 30mins. from Wolf Laurel Ski Resort.

And...So much more to list!

Welcoming charm with thoughtful touches and impeccable cleanliness.

  • 5 of 5

Our small family had the unique opportunity to stay in this wonderful home and by the end of our stay - none of us wanted to leave. The bar has been set extremely high after staying here. From the charming decor, to the cleanliness, to the amenities and thoughtful touches. We can't wait to return for another visit to the area - but really, the best part of visiting - calling this house a home - even if it's only for short time.

"At home away from Home"

  • 5 of 5

The Owners are fabulous and responsive. This cabin is full of personality and charm. We made amazing memories during our stay here. Very easy to navigate in and out of Asheville. You pull up and the lanscape is gorgeous, you walk thru the front door with more than you can imagine at your fingertips. The fresh flowers throughout the cabin were gorgeous. We found Our Joy in the Journey! Hope to return to this amazing find nestled in a quiet setting.

If we could give ten stars, we would. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had everything we could have needed. Dawn went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Thank you!

Perfect weekend in an impeccable cabin!!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely gorgeous cabin-professionally decorated and most importantly CLEAN. My family and I were able to walk in and immediately begin to relax and enjoy family time together! Enough to do at the cabin, between games, a creek to fish in and a fort for the kids-we didn’t need to leave! Close enough to town to get groceries and other items we needed. We absolutely loved our stay and will be coming back. The owners were so thoughtful-they really made us feel welcome and at home.

Rustic Mountain Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This rustic cabin located in a small town near Asheville, NC was quaint and comfortable enough for our group of six. There is a standalone bedroom on the main level and room for four upstairs in an open lofted space. The set up suited our group but doesn't offer privacy for the four people staying in the loft space since all beds essentially open to the living area.

Dawn has done a fabulous job updating the cabin with adorable decor and modern amenities. The house is fully stocked with anything you would need to make this your home away from home (everything you need to cook and serve in the kitchen, board games, towels, etc.). There are several outdoor amenities to enjoy as well (fire pit, hammock, outdoor games, etc.). The grocery store is ~15 minutes away which made it easy for us to stock up for the weekend.

We absolutely loved our stay here and would book again if we are ever in the area! The only call out I would have is that the town is a bit aways from downtown Asheville so I definitely recommend having a car - it's about 20-30 minutes drive. We were able to drive to Biltmore easily. However, an uber ride one way will run you $75+. We got caught in an ice storm so our uber home ended up being double that. Something to keep in mind if your itinerary involves a lot of time downtown and/or if you are planning on staying here in the winter. You have to take a windy road through the countryside to get to the house which isn't easy to do if there is a lot of snow or ice on the ground.

All in all, we loved our stay here. Loved the quiet setting and attention to detail.

Owner's Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay in our cabin during your trip to the mountains for New Year's. We do everything in our power to make the cabin extra special- fresh flowers, fresh baked goodies, etc...We are sorry to hear that you experienced longer than usual travel times, an ice storm and inflated New Year's holiday Uber expenses. Unfortunately, we have know control over mother nature or Uber. Happy travels! Clayton and Dawn
