Lisbon is one of the oldest cities in the world, predating other modern European capitals such as London, Paris and Rome by hundreds of years. Julius Caesar made it a municipium called Felicitas Julia, adding to the name Olissipo. We offer a fabulous apartment in the gorgeous Baixa Pombalina (Baixa-Chiado) (city centre Lisbon). Charming building built in the late 1800s, recently upgraded and fully remodeled with an elevator/lift.

The apartment features 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, sleeping a maximum of 5 people. It features all new furniture and appliances, contemporary decor, hypoallergenic microfiber duvets/comforters, luxury cotton linen, central heating, free cable/ wifi and a balcony offering striking views of the city. The entire apartment sunbaths sunrise-to-sundown (~ 300 days per year). Each room can be configured to 2 twin beds or one king bed. Sofa + portable crib (for a child up to 4 years old). Childproof locks in all windows and doors. Baby bedding/children toys available upon request. Close proximity to key historic sights in Lisbon will enable you to discover the city on foot - Moorish Castle/Alfama 10min walk; Elevador de Santa Justa, within a 2 min walk, Praça do Comercio/Praça da Figueira/ Rossio within 3-5 min; Bairro Alto 15-20min. Iconic N28 tram is 2 blocks away. 3 subway/tube stations within 5 min, train to beaches (Estoril)/ fishing village of Cascais 15min walk (Cais do Sodre), train to delightful Sintra within 5 min (Rossio) and boat rides to cross the Tagus/Tejo river within 5 min (Caparica beaches and wonderful fish/shellfish dinning in the local restaurants).

Direct airport transfer bus stops 1 block away. Multitude of restaurants and shops right outside.

Running/jogging- try the river front with the iconic Cais das Colunas in Praça do Comercio (5 min away), jog in river front till Algés or as far as you feel like.

Night out: walk to Alfama 5 min, enjoy our world renown Portuguese food, enjoy lively bars/pubs and live Fado performances. If you prefer Bairro Alto (10 min in the opposite direction), a multitude of gentrified filled bars, restaurants and theaters will satisfy every taste.

Location location

This is a well equipped apartment in a good, central location- clean and comfortable.

Ilda, the property manager is very helpful & friendly.

I would appreciate better lighting in the living room. It is difficult to read at night. I echo the comments of a previous renter- mirrors in the bedroom please. Could you add some local art or colour in a few pottery pieces?

That said, it is a very comfortable place to stay. Easy to get around the city both walking and taking the tram. A few touches would make it rise above very good to excellent.

Great two bed in the heart of everything

My husband and I traveled to Lisbon for three days with our 18-month-old. This apartment was perfect. Two bedrooms, plenty of space, great appliances and close to so many things - or to transportation that can get you where you want to go. We were 5-15 minutes walk from tons of stuff, including a number of buses, trams and the train to sintra. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect location, beautiful apartment!

This apartment is right in the middle of Baixa and an easy walk (e.g., it's 3 short blocks to Praca do Comercio) to many of the sites you'll want to see. Don't forget to ask about the elevator one block away that takes you up to the upper part of Alfama and St. George's castle - it will save you a long walk or a bus/taxi ride (there's also a big grocery store up there if you want to cook in the well appointed kitchen). The apartment is on the top floor, very new and clean, and the balcony makes it extra special. This was our first trip to Lisbon and we can't wait to get back to see more - when we do, we'll definitely be staying here again.

Great apartment in a great location

We were a party of 3 staying for 3 nights and this apartment ticked all the boxes for us - 2 good-sized bedrooms and excellent seating in the living / dining space. Although we didn't really need to use the kitchen except for breakfast, it is really well-equipped with everything for a longer stay - dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer and loads of crockery, pans and cutlery. We appreciated the tea bags and coffee! The whole place was very clean and comfortable. The arrangements for getting in went smoothly and it all feels very secure from the front door entrance to the hefty lock on the apartment front door. It's in a great location just round the corner from restaurants and shops ( good little mini supermarket 3-4 minutes' walk away) and well placed for seeing the sights. We did most of our sightseeing on foot with a boat excursion along the river to Belem and a TukTuk tour thrown in just to get a feel of where everything was.

Getting to the apartment was very easy using the AeroBus which takes about 30 minutes and costs 3.50 Euros. It stops at the Square at Rossio and again at the Praca da Commercio and both stops are ideally located about 10 minutes' walk away. In fact for returning to the airport, there is a pick up point less than 100m down on the other side of the Rua Da Prata from the apartment, so it couldn't be easier!

All-in-all we had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend this apartment. Communication with David throughout the booking process was excellent - would stay again if we're back in Lisbon
