About Jeff Santti

My wife Jill and I grew up in beautiful Alger County on the shores of Lake Superior—the largest freshwater lake in the world. (in area) I enjoyed many weekends with my dad fishing the Au Train River; catching large Walleye, Perch, Pike and pan fish. As a young couple, we walked the warm beaches in Au Train and Munising, and found time to take a small boat to Grand Island where solace days were spent in the wilderness.

It has been a dream of ours to live on waterfront property in Alger County, but our jobs caused us to settle in nearby Marquette. With retirement years approaching, we have purchased our dream home on the Au Train River. Until we are officially finished with our day-jobs, we have decided to offer our home for others to enjoy for a few years until we are ready to relocate to River Time in Au Train.

Jeff Santti purchased this house in 2016

Wonderful property: clean, modern, comfortable - had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our time here! It was quiet and secluded, but very close to the lake and a short drive to more in Munising. We enjoyed the peaceful mornings and evenings on the deck (though the mosquitoes made campfires at night a little challenging), our kids loved kayaking the river, and the coziness of the home itself was the perfect balance. This was the culmination of a 10 day trip in the lower and upper peninsulas, and proved to be the perfect ending. We would love to return any time!

Clean and spacious!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. We are a family of five, and we came for mid-winter break. This house is centrally located between Munising and Marquette, and we enjoyed exploring both areas. Jeff the homeowner was so friendly and easy to work with. He willingly answered all of my questions, and stayed in touch with me prior to the visit. He was easily accessible for any questions during our stay. The house is immaculate, with lots of space! There is even a full downstairs area with TV and sitting area, which we didn't really use, as the main floor living room was large enough for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking items. Even the pantry has a lot of items available, and Jeff had told me we could use anything in the pantry/fridge/freezer. There were plenty of towels available too. 2 types of coffee makers- Keurig and traditional pot. Wi-Fi worked great for all of our electronics. I highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed our time at this property. Perfect location for reaching the snowmobile trails and nice place to warm up at the end of the day. Fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, cable tv and wi-if. Ample parking for truck and trailer as well.

The owner was very accommodating and great to work with. Will definitely consider staying again if we are back in the area.
