Why Lindsey chose Spenard
This house is new construction with all the amenities to make your trip as effortless and convenient as possible. It is in an amazing central location in a nicely kept safe and quiet neighborhood with lots of trees and foliage. It's a beautiful home with a nice layout and high ceilings - a mustard yellow exterior which is the owners favorite color.
What makes this House unique
Sip your favorite beverage on one of the two balconies while enjoying the fresh Alaskan air and listening to the rusting leaves. Or, pull the blinds and snuggle up for a movie night in. Or, head down to Spaniard & Northern Lights for dinner, nightlife, and city fun. Get up early and visit the nearby farmers markets for fresh Alaskan produce and seafood and prepare meals in the fully stocked kitchen or grill on the porch. Catch a yoga class at one of the many nearby studios or hop in the car a drive 30min to some of Anchorages best hiking and views, The possibilities are endless ... Roomy and convenient most areas
Everything was quite nice. Townhouse affordable nice space. Good supply of Linens. Little bit light on the number of pans and some dishware but overall very adequate. Nice selection of supplies. Downstairs carpeting could use a good cleaning. Other than that we were quite happy.
Plenty of Space
Enjoyed our stay in this three BR, three bath duplex. All the comforts of home.
It was perfect for our three couples. Clean and updated. Close to airport and attractions. It was nice to be able to shop and make food instead of eating out all the time. Nice table area to play cards and visit. Thank you!
Adequate but pictures don’t tell the whole story
The good-close to the airport, all king beds, three bathrooms, the owners where very responsive and easy to deal with. The unit was well stocked with detergents, soaps etc but not toilet paper. Not a big deal but had to make a Walmart run. The unit was clean enough but is showing some wear and tear which can be expected.
The not so good- the surrounding neighborhood was junky with old cars that hadn’t moved in years and unkept lawns. However, this seemed to be the norm in Alaska. The pictures or description show none of this. I felt safe, but not what I have experienced with other VRBO properties in the lower 48. 2 of the 3 bedrooms where small and had no dressers-you basically had to live out of your suit case. The master was fine and had ample room but the other two bedrooms where basically filled with the king beds-very little room to get around. The mattresses were fine but the frames squeaked every time you moved around-very annoying. The pillows were small and not supportive. They could use a major upgrade.
Would I stay again-probably as it was a central location to everything we wanted to see and do. The price was right and we mostly just slept there. It provided a better value vs hotel rooms for our group of 6 adults. Thanks.
This was the perfect place for our Alaska trip!
The Hayes Street property is fairly new construction and is clean and an excellent floor plan. There were five of us and there was plenty of room. While it will sleep eight, if you intend on staying in the residence instead of getting out and seeing the sights, lounging room and seating might be a little tight. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms are very nice. The neighborhood is quiet and we saw no hint of crime or threat of it. 5 minutes to the airport and 10 minutes to downtown. Very convenient to Walmart and other stores. There is noise from jets taking off, but we quickly became used to that and it wasn’t a problem. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!
Comfortable home close to town - Spacious and clean
The property was clean, comfortable, close to town and in a quiet neighborhood. They had a new cleaning crew and the towels were damp when we got there, but we dried them and they brought a fresh set the next day. Owner was very responsive and friendly, even brought us some muffins the next day with the towels. We stayed there 4 nights and found it very easy to get to as we toured Anchorage. Even made it to Denali and back in 1 day. Home could use a little more decorations to make it more "homey", but that is just our opinion. Things like dressers or better accommodations to store your close and wall decorations or table decorations....just some simple improvements. Really did enjoy the comfort of being in a home for our vacation in Anchorage and would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay.
My place is close to restaurants and dining, family friendly activities, nightlife, airport and public transportation. You'll love my place because of the comfy beds, coziness, and the high ceilings. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families with kids and large groups. Fully furnished and stocked with all your everyday needs from kitchen supplies and snacks, to toiletries and bathroom necessities. Super soft sheets and light canceling blinds help to provide a sense of night time during the bright Alaskan summers. There is a private upstairs balcony off the master bedroom and kitchen
porch complete with grill and patio chairs for coffee, tea or local brews outside. Very convenient central location but in a quite neighborhood surrounded by trees so you'll feel like your in your own little wilderness escape.
