About Nancy James
My husband and I are long time residents of Laie, over 30 years. I grew up in this very home. We both graduated from Brigham Young University - Hawaii campus. We raised our small family in this very apartment that we have newly remodeled. We hope that you will enjoy it also.
Nancy James purchased this Apartment in 2000
Why Nancy James chose Laie
The best thing I can relay about this apartment is, that it is away from the town of Laie. BUT you just have to walk down the hill and you are in the town. At night, you can sit outside on the drive way and look up and actually see the stars. It gives you a sense of real country.
What makes this Apartment unique
It has a cozy cottage feel. Just a walk to one of the most scenic views on the island, Laie Point. Great for watching beautiful sunrises. And during the months of September through February humpback whale migrations.

Small, tidy, and close to BYU-Hawaii
We enjoyed our stay very much. We came to move a child into BYU-Hawaii, so this was very conveniently located for us. Close to a grocery store and ice cream shop. Owner was also very helpful when word of a hurricane coming hit the news. A lot of beach parks close. We enjoyed very much not being in the center of a city.
Loved it, great location for where we wanted to go and things we wanted to do. Very nice and clean. Would stay again!!!
The place was perfect for what we needed. Thank you very much
Very clean, great location.
This place served our needs well. The walls are thin, but we never felt a lack of privacy. We dont have much to hide. We weren't there much. The owner was responsive to our needs.
Property wasn't too bad but general area was somewhat dilapidated.
When we arrived, it was 80+ degrees and all the windows were shut tightly and the room AC's were turned OFF. We almost died in the heat and humidity. Then the instructions said we had to turn off the AC units when we left the house! It was a sweltering week! Next time we're going for an air-conditioned hotel. Sorry to be so picky, but one be comfortable when on vacation, it seems and especially when paying over $1,000/week.
Great location, clean, affordable
Great location in Laie. Very clean, reasonably priced. Like most places in Hawaii parking is limited and a tight squeeze in a larger vehicle. Neighbors are close by, but again a "norm" for most places in the area. Very nice that a small A/C dehumidifier was added to the kitchen area recently. Lots of fans help a little bit in bedroom areas, but the hot and humid climate of summer was something that we were just not used to. Easy checkout and good responsiveness of owners.
Polynesian Cultural Center, BYU-Hawaii Campus, LDS Mormon Temple are within a 15 minute walk from this apartment. Polynesian Cultural Center has a shopping plaza of authentic polynesian gifts, apparel, and restaurants. 17.5 miles up the Northshore of Oahu is Haleiwa, historic plantation town filled with nostalgia and good eateries. The drive will take you by the island's best shrimp trucks, the Famous Sunset beach, Waimea Bay, and other local flares. During the summer and winter high waves season, this scenic road becomes long lines of cars. it is recommended that you start early and make it a day of stops and seeing the beauty of the Northshore.
