The villa sits on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with panoramic views of the sea. It has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The whole side of the villa, facing the sea, was opened up with glass panels and large sliding glass doors to make the most of the stunning ocean views. The spacious open plan living area on the ground floor includes a large kitchen/dining room and a generous and comfortable lounge with limitless views of the sea. The1st floor includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The en-suite master bedroom with a large secluded terrace offers panoramic views of the sea. The ground floor bedroom opens to a courtyard filled with bougainvillea and other flowering plants. It's adjoining bathroom offers superb sea views. The 2 bedrooms, bathroom and 2nd lounge and bar on pool level, open to a covered terrace leading to the ocean front 5x10 mtrs pool. There are several terraces, all with dining furniture making the use of the poolside BBQ ideal for alfresco dining.
Pedra do Ouro is a small friendly beach village. It has wide sandy beaches that go on for miles and there are beautiful treks along the coast, on the beach or along pedestrian walkways. There are special cycling and rollerblading routes along the coast and many other sporting facilities. There are several surf schools nearby. This is the location were just recently the worlds no. 1 surfer rode the largest wave in the world on the North Beach in Nazare a traditional fishing village only 10km south. Nazaré is a must to visit and offers many very good restaurants. Nearby there is wonderful Obidos and its walled castle and medieval town. The whole region is steeped in history including the cathedral in Batalha, Monastery in Alcobaca and the Leiria Fatima region. Nearby there is also the thermal waters of Monte Real. There are several wine routes in the area and for the serious shoppers Leiria has everything. Our neighbouring villages, Sao Pedro and Paredes have excellent seafood restaurants, several bars and lovely beaches. Pedra do Ouro itself hosts a beach bar, a local pub and a couple of traditional Portuguese restaurants, it's local hotel has recently reopened and also offers bar and restaurant service. We would like to make a special mention of the fabulous food and wine in Portugal and still att affordable prices.
