About Pam Oakes
We are Steve and Pam Oakes from West Chester, Ohio. Steve is a retired police sergeant from our local police department and Pam currently works for a local Jeweler in West Chester. We have been enjoying Dale Hollow for close to 40 years and feel there is no better place for quality time with family and friends.
Pam Oakes purchased this Cabin in 1999
Why Pam Oakes chose Byrdstown
Steve's father purchased the property in 1999 and passed it down to the family for future generations to enjoy. We feel blessed to have such a beautiful place to call our home away from home.
What makes this Cabin unique
We love having a place with room to spread out, but also close to the lake. We enjoy boating for much of the day then returning to the property for dinner, corn hole, cards and quality time around the fire pit. The views of the lake from Oak Hill Road are just beautiful and the walk down to the lake from the end of the road quite an adventure. We have several family and friends who say there is no better fishing than Dale Hollow :)

Cute, cozy, and clean! Thanks so much!
Thank you for staying StefAnn! We hope you will visit again :)
The property was top notch. Extremely cozy and private. Very well kept. We very much enjoyed our stay and certainly will book again. Highly recommend
Thank you for staying and for the kind words. We appreciate you and hope to have you back again in the future. Pam and Steve
Perfect Cabin for 2
Peefect size for the 2 of us. Kept our boat at StarPoint which was about 10 mins away. Great woodsy backyard. Enjoyed the fire pit. Will be back!
Thanks again for staying in one of our cabins. We appreciate the kind words and feedback. Steve and I would be happy to have you back at anytime. Kindly, Pam
My wife's and my experience was top rate. Place was clean, well kept and easily accessible. The draw back was we didn't know the coffee pot was a Keurig until after we arrived, so we had to go to town to get pods for coffee. The host we're top notch with their care of us and ensuring all was easy for us as late arrivals.
Thank you for staying and for the feedback Paul. We appreciate it. We would be happy to have you back again at anytime. Kindly, Pam and Steve
Such a cute and clean cottage.
Very cute and cozy cottage that sits just behind the tall trees of the woods. It is so clean and has everything you need for a great weekend at the lake. My bed at home is a foam mattress, so if that is what you are used to, bring a pad for the bed. Perfect amount of parking and very accessable to Eagle Cove marina.
Great cabin to get away. Very clean enjoyed the back porch for drinking coffee and reading.
Everything about the cabin and area was great for our trip. Cabin beautifully decorated and very private. Lake was awesome and fireworks at another marina was spectacular which was worth the drive. Can’t say enough about the cabin for it was just what we needed for a get away. Loved the barn door into the bedroom. Hope to come again and maybe have a boat to enjoy the lake.
Enjoy all the beauty and nature that the lake and surrounding area have to offer. Boater as well as non-bothers will enjoy the laid back atmosphere and beautiful, scenic drives/hikes/walks. Sunset Resort and Eagle Cove Marina are both within 4 miles of the property. Both marinas have boat launching ramps and slips available. The Cordell Hull birthplace museum and Bunkum Cave are a short drive and directly across the street from each other on Cordell Hull Drive. If you enjoy antiquing, take a 30 minute drive to Livingston and walk the town square to visit several charming shops. The J & B Stuff store on 111 in Byrdstown also has a few antiques and is quite unique.
