We experienced total enjoyment at this location from start to finish. Fantastic scenery at, near and surrounding the location. The location is an artist’s paradise. My husband, being an artist, actually used the sunroom as his temporary studio on occasion during the duration of our stay and completed a number of seascape paintings. The ocean, only a few hundred feet from the house, can be viewed from the East and North windows. We enjoyed this rustic, comfortable home. Would, and probably will, return to this location upon our next visit to Newfoundland.
Thank you, Millie and Doug, for your kind words and your excellent care of the house. Thank you, too, for the beautiful painting Doug left here for us, which we will always treasure.
Weekend @ former Crowley Residence!
My family rented this property to attend a family wedding on the North Shore; great place to stay.
We're glad we could provide a place for family to gather for the wedding! Thanks for the compliment!

Cozy house by the sea
A very pleasant and cozy cabin with lovely views and the sound of the surf
One of the old Outports, or fishing villages, with a handsome harbour and plenty of history. Neigbouring outport Bradley's Cove was resettled in the 1960's because the electric lines hadn't been run out there, Now all that's left is a stone root cellar and the rock walls that delineated the vegetable gardens.

We went to Conception Bay North to learn about Warren's family heritage, as all his grandparents came from adjoining coves there. It turned out to be the most beautiful, most comfortable place we'd ever been, and we were completely captivated. The neighbors are nearly all related to him, and they are the nicest, most engaging people imaginable. I am an architectural historian, and this homestead captured my interest with its three matching buildings in the traditional Newfoundland Biscuit Box style..

Why Owner chose Western Bay
We feel extraordinarily fortunate to have encountered this homestead hidden away on its little dead-end road. We first saw it our very first day in Newfoundland. It was still for sale eight months later when we next returned, and when we learned the price, it began to seem possible, even likely that we could buy it, and since it was fully furnished, we were able to stay there right away. We love the views of the ocean and bay, the views of open land across the road, the quick walks to the beaches, and the incredible peace and quiet of the location.
What makes this House unique
Bay views, ocean views, nearby beaches and boat launches, Newfoundland history, natural beauty, icebergs in the bay, kind and friendly people everywhere.
