Discover the perfect Charleston location at this low cost small two bedroom carriage house situated in the city's oldest quarter with free off street parking for one vehicle . Whether shopping on King Street, enjoying the Spoleto Festival, visiting the College of Charleston, or strolling through the Old City Market, you will find this location to be most convenient .
The small carriage house has two bedrooms and one bathroom and is approximately 500 square feet . Both bedrooms have queen beds. It has a small porch for your exclusive use, and there is a large downstairs porch to the main house which is available for your use. There are HD televisions with Direct TV in each room, a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There is no kitchen or living room, however with all the world -class restaurants and sites within close walking distance, most visitors would not cook anyway when staying in this neighborhood . The property also has internet access. The owner lives downstairs in the same house.

Adjacent to the carriage house is our other much larger fully furnished apartment with a kitchen ,dining room ,living room and 2 bathrooms which is listed as 77S3 . Many visitors book both units where they can sleep a total of 10 people.

Great location, very small, very old unit
We loved the location.. so let me start with that. This rental is in the heart of all that there is to see in Charleston. We didn't have to drive anywhere and saw everything on our list. The pricing is fair and I know that you get what you pay for. We could have spent twice as much across the street and had all the amenities we were missing. I should have known from the pictures that there wasn't a dining room, living room, kitchen... or any kind of "hang out" space, but I was still pretty surprised when I walked into what was literally two rooms adjoined by a very small, very dated bathroom. It smelled funky, like there had been a mold issue in the past, the shower and floors were not clean even though it reeked of bleach, the thermostat varied by at least 5 degrees in every room and the beds were so loud that just getting up in the middle of the night woke the sleeping baby. I wouldn't stay again, but I might recommend it for someone traveling alone.
Wonderful feel to the place.
We enjoyed our time in the holy city and it was made better by the great location of this place. Comfortable bed and cold AC helped us stay refreshed and ready for adventures at every turn. Would recommend this place to anyone just needing a quiet place rest and relax.
Wonderful experience in Charleston 1839 House and Carriage House!
My family recently spent a week in Charleston over the July 2nd weekend. Our daughter was getting married and our whole family was coming from out of state. (6 states to be exact) We rented the main house and the carriage house to keep us all under one roof while in Charleston. First of all, the property owners were excellent in their communication with us prior to us arriving and while we were there. The home is beautiful, well maintained and spacious. Every evening we gathered in the large living room area and spent time with visiting friends and family. The kitchen was fully stocked and very usable. The porch was so relaxing and the off street parking was such a benefit. The home is in an excellent location...close to shops, restaurants, grocery store and the college. (Historic District in Charleston is such a nice walkable city)
Renting this home was perfect for our family and it made the wedding celebration even better by allowing us to have a comfortable, home away from home stay in Charleston. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone and will likely return one day and rent it again.
Fantastic location! Will definitely be back.
Comfortable, convenient - nothing fancy, but all you need!
This little 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom gem has everything you need with a minimum of fuss and bother. Completely comfortable - the Air Conditioning was quiet and effective, the plumbing was reliable, and beds were comfortable...when you're visiting Charleston, and gone all day seeing the sights, it's a great place to come back to. Centrally located, within easy walking distance to restaurants, The Battery, The Charleston Aquarium, and the ferry to Fort Sumpter. Around the corner from Jestine's Kitchen, and around another corner from Jim and Nick's BBQ. We (three) college girls in our mid-60's stayed 3 nights, and even though we were stuck inside for an afternoon due to rain from Tropical Storm Bonnie, didn't have any cabin fever at all! There is a quite narrow veranda with rocking chairs and a table for sitting outside, but comfortable enough until the mosquitoes drove us in. I'd certainly recommend this for a similar adventure...
Could use a comfortable chair or two for lounging inside, but other than that, it's a great little place!
Great location and value
The apartment is just as it appears online if not better: rooms seem bigger. Very comfy beds and free parking a great bonus. Good contact with the owner and key system for door works really well.
