About Joe Wiltzen

Joe continues to rehabilitate an old cabin on the property and finish the landscaping over the course of summer 2017. This project was completed with many recycled items and is super insulated, with led lighting and efficient water heaters.

Joe Wiltzen purchased this house in 2015

Why Joe Wiltzen chose Twin Bridges

Twin Bridges is surrounded by the Tobacco Root, Ruby, Highland and Pioneer mountain ranges, with the Beaverhead river running through. This project was completed in just over a year by Joe, a few friends, and much wood from old barns and houses being torn down and reassembled in Twin.

Great place for a week of rest and fishing

  • 5 of 5

Had a great week at the Combat Fisherman. Four of us had more than enough room in the huge kitchen, living room and loft bedrooms. Comfortable furniture. The place stayed really cool even in 90F heat. Easy walk to Groceries, convenience store and Bars. Just wish our luck on the rivers were better.

Owner's Response: Paul, I am glad you liked the place. Come back anytime and thanks for leaving the place so clean. See you next time when the rivers are a little cooler.

Wonderful remodeled house on Main Street, USA

  • 5 of 5

Room. Room. Room. The luxury of wasted space. Making up for the absence of a view this house which is tastefully remodeled with barn wood, recycled windows, rough sawn lumber and attention to detail has room to spread out.

The living room is comfortable and there is super cross ventilation. Extreme insulation made it very cool on the hottest days. Imagine it would heat the same way. The large dining room table would easily accommodate 8 or more for meals or games.

The front bedroom has a king bed and half bath. This bedroom shares shower and full bath on main floor. The back bedroom has four king size beds and a bathroom with shower.

The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and silver. Room for several cooks with lots of counter space, an island and an additional bar that probably seats four observers.

Owner Joe stopped by for a glass of wine in the front yard and a neighbor joined us. We ate at the Shack and had dinner at The Old Hotel. Excellent. A nice museum is open often and is a real treasure.

Thirty minutes from Virginia City where we were attending a conference was very convenient. Fisherman in the cafes were certainly enjoying the fishing.

Streaming Smart TV and fast internet connection will satisfy. You will enjoy your stay.

Owner's Response: Good talk Jim, thanks for the wine. I honestly never had a subscription to Mother Earth News, although i liked your sense of humor about the whole thing. Come on back anytime, I need some advice on hitching up dogs to a plow and would love your thoughts, thinking of old windows, Joe

Owner's Response: The Firepit is coming for the next time Brian, maybe in the next month. Also coming, sauna and dance party. Everybody knows you can't force a dance party, but you can force a fire pit. Thanks for leaving the place clean, great guests, and good responsive communication. Joe
