About Claire Hamilton
I've lived and worked in Belfast most of my life, enjoying just a few years living and working in Canada, and also travelling quite a bit, especially in France where my husband Peter and I own another lovely holiday home (see property number #8167156) We travel there with our two children, Luke 14 and Holly 12, as often as possible but are happy to then return to Belfast for work and school and to plan our next adventure!
Claire Hamilton purchased this Apartment in 1993
Why Claire Hamilton chose Belfast City Centre
This apartment was the first home I purchased, as a young trainee chartered accountant, starting out on my career. It provided the perfect base for getting to the office and travelling to clients, enjoying the city and hosting friends. I love this apartment, and when I moved to Canada I rented it out and on my return and moving on to a bigger family home, I decided to keep it. It is still the perfect location in the city and is a useful base for nights out, perhaps the children will enjoy it in a few years too.
What makes this Apartment unique
Easy walking distance to the city centre, the train station, bus station, the titanic docks. Easy driving access to the main arterial routes out of the city to destinations throughout Ireland. Beautiful open riverside views.

Great apartment in downtown Belfast
Fantastic apartment in a great location, find the Beacon of Hope and you're a quick walk across the bridge to your accommodations. The owner met us on time, gave us a great tour of the space and a thorough description of the amenities. She even dropped us at a local museum so we could avoid walking in the heavy rain and gusty wind. The apartment was spotless and roomy, we were very pleased with our accommodations. The Cathedral Quarter was an easy walk from the apartment, there was lots to see within a 1 or 2 km radius.
Dear Gisele, very many thanks for your wonderful review. It was a real pleasure to welcome you and your family and I’m simply delighted you enjoyed your stay at Lagan View.
We are in a great location to explore the city and I hope the Titanic Museum compared well to others you’ve visited.
Come back any time, you will be very welcome.
Warmest good wishes, Claire
A Beautiful Home in a Perfect Location!
We had such a great stay at this home! Claire, the home owner, was most gracious. She responded in a very timely manner and was there to meet us on the day we checked in. The home is right on the river Lagan and the views are beautiful. The inside of the home is clean, very well kept and truly feels like a home. I would recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting Belfast. A 10 out of 10!! Thanks again Claire!! We had a great time.
Dear Mike, I was so happy to welcome you and your lovely family to Lagan View for the ice hockey and to see Belfast. I'm delighted you enjoyed your stay and thank you very much for your great review, it means such a lot to me. Come back to visit any time! Best wishes to you all, Claire
Location perfect and charming apartment
The location is wonderful. The apartment is well appointed and so charming. I love the river view with morning tea. Beds very comfortable and the whole facility is very clean. Easy parking. Claire is an amazing hostess who met us at the door and had a lovely book of information ready to go. Will definitely return! Thank you for such a lovely time
Dear Deborah, thank you for your great review. It was a pleasure to have you to stay and I’m so delighted you enjoyed your time at the apartment. I’ll look forward to welcoming you back one day. Warmest good wishes Claire
The apartment is perfectly located to discover the city. It is a short walk to the SSE arena, host to the biggest names in entertainment, and on to the famous Titanic visitor centre and Game of Thrones studios. Or crossing the river takes you to the must visit St Georges market for its local food and craft stalls, the International Convention Centre and the main shopping centre in Belfast, the Victoria Centre. Another few minutes on foot takes you to the Cathedral Quarter with its excellent bars, restaurants and theatres. The City Hall is also only a few minutes walk from the Victoria Centre where you can catch interesting bus tours of the city or take a metro bus to some of the local sights a little further afield, such as the No 1 bus to Belfast Castle and the walks up to Cave Hill for stunning views over the city.
Travel further afield to discover the wonderful Antrim Coast to the North or the Mourne Mountains to the South, all easily accessible as the apartment conveniently links to the main routes out of Belfast. Or if you prefer not to drive, a few minutes walk across the pedestrian bridge over the river takes you to the main Lanyon Place railway station. From here you can travel to all parts of Northern Ireland and Ireland on the good rail and bus network.
