About Julie Sczerbinski

My family has owned this cabin for 5 years and we love it! After spending more than a year searching the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia for the perfect mountain home, we fell in love with this cabin the minute we saw it. When you are here, surrounded by the rhododendron-filled woods, you are able to relax. It's very peaceful and this part of Virginia is incredibly beautiful. I hope you love it as much we do.

Julie Sczerbinski purchased this cabin in 2012

perfect cabin and setting

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect -- high end cabin, little touches like s'mores, fully stocked kitchen, great hostess/super responsive, and setting was just perfect! We loved driving through little stream. Kids felt like we were 4-wheeling even though it was just a couple inches deep. Loved the stream/foot bridges/cows. We really didn't get to walk much more than that since we went driving for the two days, but the whole area/cabin/region were beautiful.

Doesn’t get much better than this!!

  • 5 of 5

Wow! Where do I even begin? What an absolutely amazing weekend we had! My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! I can’t say enough good about both Julie and Bob! They are 2 of the most friendliest and sincere people we’ve ever encountered on our travels. They both went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing short of spectacular. The cabin was absolutely adorable and immaculate, quiet and cozy. All of the cupboards filled with “extras” made for an even more enjoyable weekend. The cabin was so welcoming. The property was gorgeous. We definitely felt like we hit the jackpot with this little slice of heaven. There’s no question about it, we will be back!!

Quiet and secluded. House was very clean. Kitchen well stocked.

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we've stayed here and it just keeps getting better. Temps were bitter cold but we went hiking anyway and loved coming back to the cabin with the fireplace and heated floors.

Julie is super easy to work with and very concerned about making our stay comfortable.

We will definitely be coming back.

This was our second stay at this cabin and it was as great as our first. Julie’s home is very comfortable and very well appointed. The location provides easy access to a score of sites to visit.

Our stay was wonderful from the time we arrived until the end. Quiet and peaceful, we had a very nice Thanksgiving getaway this year. The cabin had everything we needed and more.
