This one-of-kind house was built as a rustic family retreat, with all the comforts of home. Constructed out of locally reclaimed barn wood by our dad as a country cabin, for over thirty years it has hosted many family and friend reunions in the heart of the Texas hill country.
The ranch house is set in 22 acres of Texas woodlands that are a safe home to deer, fox, wild turkeys, jack rabbits and many species of birds, including the Federally protected Golden-Cheeked Warbler.
-Comfortably furnished, there are 4 bedrooms - 2 bedrooms with queen beds; a king bed and a daybed in the Master bedroom; a queen bed and two single beds in the loft bedroom; and there are 2 couches and 3 sleeping mattresses available.
-There is a fully equipped kitchen that opens to the dining room, as well as a separate pantry with an additional sink, coffee bar,
and refrigerator. There is washer and dryer in the utiliity room.
-The vaulted living room has a large stone fireplace, and opens onto large porches with eastern views across the property.
-Wifi and television are available at the house for watching news or movies.
-Water sports are all-important in a Texas summer, and the ranch has a private pool and deck.
-For boating and fishing Canyon Lake is just 7 miles away; the Guadalupe and San Marcos Rivers have great tubing and canoeing; and Schlitterbahn waterpark is in New Braunfels.
-Centrally located within a easy drive from most Hill Country activities, StoneHeart Ranch is 20 minutes from Wimberley, an hour from the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio, and 45 minutes from great shopping in San Marcos
-There are many local wineries and microbreweries throughout
the area, and great restaurants and music venues are close by in San Marcos, Fredericksburg, Luckenbach or Gruene.
-Only 45 minutes from Austin, the Wimberley area has it's own home-grown music scene, and you can often catch new and returning local stars at the Fischer Haus, 5 minutes from the Ranch.
