Within a minute's walk, you'll find Austin's freshest bakery/cafe, a boutique liquor store, an oyster & cocktail bar, shops, Tex-Mex, and a plethora of charming shops and incredible food. You are also walking distance to the international flagship store for Whole Foods.
Once your reservation is confirmed, you will be able to access the check-in information in the House Manual.
Interaction with Guests
We are constantly on the move, so we may not be able to meet and greet in person, but will always be available via phone, email and text.
The west side of downtown is packed with history and incredible turn-of-the-century design. The Clarksville neighborhood is one of the most serene and coveted areas of town. You will be walking distance from renowned restaurants, bars, and music, but nestled away in your own quiet abode when the party winds down.
If you don't want to rent a car or go by foot, zipCar and Car2Go are vehicle sharing services that have multiple locations around town.
There are also many bicycle stations around town, where you can pick up and drop off bikes between use - just search for B-cycle Austin, for details.
No smokingNot suitable for petsNo parties or eventsCheck-in time is 3PM - 2AM (next day).
No smoking in the house. If you find the need to smoke outside, please dispose of the butts responsibly. Littering the ground with cigarettes will require a deeper cleaning from the cleaning crew and $100 will be deducted from your security deposit.
No pets in the house. We aren't able to make exceptions as many guests have allergies.
We aren't able to accommodate more than 4 people in the house at a given time.
We do have neighbors, so please be aware that the noise ordinance is in effect from 10pm to 8am. If you're disturbing the peace during these hours, you're clearly not exploring Austin enough. Get out there!

Short but sweet
I am a fellow vacation rental owner who was in town for 1 night to visit the HomeAway offices. Location could not have been more perfect - less than a 5 minute walk. Several great restaurants within 1-2 blocks (including a breakfast place just across from the apartment) and there is also Wholefoods 2 blocks away. Apartment is in a cute building in a historic neighborhood. Clean, A/C and Wifi, comfortable mattress and bedding, Tv with Hulu, cute little outdoor space. Perfect for 2 people, but can sleep 4 if necessary. Ended up being significantly less than hotels in the area...
Nice little place - basic, but convenient and clean.
We stayed here in February. If you need a place that is super convenient to downtown, the university or the capitol this is it. It is a small efficiency type apartment that is ample space for 1 person or a couple. There is a great breakfast bakery mere footsteps away and we ate dinner at Clarks Oyster Bar which is a two minute walk (Clarks is very good food, but a bit overpriced in my opinion). There is also a Whole Foods market about 3 blocks away that is an easy walk. You can park right outside your front door which makes load in and load out a breeze and it seems like this is a very trendy and overall safe neighborhood. There were two drawbacks to this place: 1) The lights from the parking area stay on all night and with regular blinds on the window our bedroom was not dark...I could almost read with the lights off. Perhaps the owner would consider a "black-out" shade in the bedroom 2) the neighbors upstairs were a little noisy - foot traffic and voices, however they turned in at a reasonable hour, so not a huge deal based on our schedule. It's an older multi unit building and you have to expect a little of that. We would definitely stay here gain, but I'll pack a sleeping mask and earplugs. I will stress, convenient and clean.
