This bright, convenient unit in Telemark Lodge is just a short 3-minute walk from two of Copper’s high speed quad lifts. The unit is in a quiet end unit on the third floor. The new hot tub is just down the hall. Across the street from Telemark is Copper’s main village at the base of the lifts offering shops, restaurants, and other resort amenities. Tubing and snowmobiling are available close by.
The unit’s efficient layout satisfies all your short or extended ski vacation needs. It comfortably sleeps four people in a queen- size Murphy bed which quickly folds away during the day and two bunk beds. The bunk beds are off the entry which also includes a vanity/sink outside the full bath. The bathroom, entry and kitchen feature new granite countertops and new tile floors. The large entry can be separated from the main room with a sliding pocket door to allow children (or adults) to go to bed in a quiet but close location.
The unit’s main room has a large bay window with fantastic views of the slopes (see photo at left) - no need for additional heat during sunny winter days. Because it is an end unit, it also has large side windows allowing natural daylight throughout the unit. A gas fireplace provides instant warmth and a delightful cozy atmosphere. In addition to the cable TV with DVD and DVD/CD players, there are books and games to fill the evenings after a day of skiing. There is a full kitchen with a breakfast bar and a dining area seating four with views out the side windows. Internet service is available.
Just down the hall is the large newly refurbished hot tub with mountain views out of two-story windows. Snack/ice machines and laundry facilities are in the building, and covered parking in two heated garages is reached from the elevator area on the main floor. The lovely lobby with a fireplace and private ski lockers are also located on the main floor. A stop for the free Summit County bus system is one minute from the lodge so you can visit local towns without using your car.
I am a retired school psychologist. I now ski 70+ days a year. I am a member of the 'Over The Hill Gang' at Copper. This is a club for people over 55 that offers guided instruction. I am also a volunteer ambassador. Look for me in my bright green uniform. I enjoy sailing and traveling in the spring and summer.
Suzanne Hunt purchased this condo in 2005
I bought my condo at retirement in Copper Mtn. It has always been my favorite ski mountain in Summit County. The terrain is wonderful and a favorite for locals.
I have a great view of the slopes from my living room/bedroom. I always know the conditions before I ski. I can watch the groomers at night getting the slopes ready for me in the morning.
Lovely clean sunny unit with fabulous view of ski slopes. Close to everything. Owner very responsive to our needs.
We thoroughly enjoyed this condo. The Telemark is an incredibly quiet building. It felt like we were the only ones on the floor at times. The hot tub access was awesome being in the same floor as our unit. The humidifier was an absolute necessity with the electric heat. We were so thankful there was one. The kitchen lacked a few basic items like a medium sized pot, mixing bowls, a decent spatula, a deep skillet but I managed with what was available. The owner was very responsive and answered all my questions. The location is awesome being only a short walk to the Flyer lift. Hope to visit again soon!
Walk to the lifts, or the Copper Village with restaurants, pubs and ski/board village shopping. Comfortable condo with full kitchen - enjoyed having a hot breakfast (omelets, egg sammich) for breakfast before tackling the 2300 acres of mountain skiing that you can see out the bay window. The hot tub felt great after a long day of skiing! The owner was helpful and we would stay there again for sure :)
My wife and I have been coming Copper for years and have stayed at Telemark before. The owner of the condo was very accommodating and easy to work with, as we were making arrangements on a tight schedule.
The condo itself was very clean and cozy. We will strongly consider it for our next rip.
This mountain villa was a great experience! The walk to the slopes was very short, the layout of the unit is ideal for a small family, and Suzanne was great to work with. We felt so comfortable here--there is a humidifier, a gas fireplace, pots and pans for making eggs, pancakes, pasta, etc., a full oven, ski lockers downstairs, board games for the kids, a hot tub on the same floor as the unit, plenty of drawers and closet space, and covered parking--not to mention the gorgeous view. Although the building is a little older (do not freak out by the skinny hallways), this villa is really well maintained and you will be glad you booked! Thank you, Suzanne, for a lovely ski vacation. We will be back!
My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in January for a small vacation away from the kids. The location was very convenient to Center Village ski lifts. The parking garage was nice to have so that we didn't have to scrap ice and snow (we already do too much of this at home). The gas fireplace was really nice to sit by and provided some extra warmth after a full day of skiing. The layout of the unit is well designed. If you have children, the bunk beds (with rails!) is a bonus. Having two sinks with counter space is very helpful. Copper Valley is my favorite place to ski in Summit County.
Woodward skiing and snowboard training are on site at Copper
