A couples retreat. Enjoy our spacious 900 sf one bedroom vacation rental with separate entrance in the heart of New Orleans. Our home was built in 1890 in Victorian Style. Feel safe with our 24 hour Garden District Private Patrol. We have lived in the home for over 14 years and love the neighborhood. Your apartment has one bedroom with king size bed, living room, kitchen, and bath. We are 2 short blocks from the Fresh Market grocery and in walking distance of many local bars and restaurants including famous Commander's Palace. Just steps away from parades and streetcar. We want you to enjoy all the city has to offer and do not have a television in this unit. Many quests choose to bring their laptops for late night Netflix movies in bed with the free WiFi. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our Southern hospitality. Very close to Touro Hospital and Rehab.

About Joelle Leali
We are New Orleans natives and looking forward to sharing our city with you. We are a family of five raising three teenage daughters in the downstairs unit. We also have one standard poodle.. We are available if you need us for any suggestions or concerns and always happy to give local insight so that you can most enjoy your stay in the city. But, because of the separate side entrance many guests access our keyless entry and do not see us for the duration of their trip. It is up to you!

Why Joelle Leali chose Touro
Our home is in one of the best neighborhoods in the city and we are in walking distance of LOTS of restaurants, bars, grocery stores, specialty shops, and so much more.

Great location. Clean and mostly quiet.
The unit is perfect for a couple intent on exploring the vast offerings to NOLA tourists. Located on the western edge of the garden district and two blocks south of the street car and two blocks north of Magazine, we started most days walking through the old neighborhoods taking in the mansions and meticulously kept shotgun homes. Then took in a late breakfast among the many fine dinners on Magazine. Most days, we found ourselves wandering towards the business district and continued on the the French Quarter by suppertime. Took in some Jazz, bought gifts for folks back home and then hopped on the street car ($1.25 per person) to be dropped-off 2 blocks from our apartment. The unit has a small kitchen with most amenities (the lack of a fry pan and toaster had me joking that the owners must have a stake in one of the local breakfast dinners ;-)
The unit is close to the Truro hospital emergency wing, so be prepared to hear the occasional ambulance in the dead of night.
I would definately recommend the place and would seek it out the next time I have the pleasure to visit the area.
I might just leave a fry pan and toaster behind to raise it to 5 stars LOL.
It's a great spot for a couple looking to explore and soak in the history.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay in New Orleans. Although we do not receive any kickbacks from local breakfast spots 🤣 we do realize that most guests come to NOLA to eat and the apartment is so close to so many great choices. But, a frying pan and toaster will be added for those in need. Come back soon!
Enjoyed our stay. Bed super comfortable. Great location between Canal and Magazine. Accommodations very clean. Roadwork on Louisiana is kind of a mess -- just tell Uber to pick you up at the Coliseum address. If you need a quick coffee ... visit the little shops nestled two blocks behind the house and across from Tuoro Hospital. Very convenient. Love staying at VRBO when visiting our son in NOLA. We've been very happy with our selections.
This property was perfect for our 7-night stay. We stayed in the middle of July. (The air conditioning works well!!!) It is located two blocks from the streetcar stop on St. Charles and 3 blocks from the shops and restaurants on Magazine Street. Having a full kitchen was a plus for us. Groceries can be bought at either Fresh Market (St. Charles) or Breaux Market (Magazine St.) - both are a quick walk from the house. It was wonderful to come “home” to all we needed after a day being spent out and about. The bed was comfortable. The shower/water pressure/temp was excellent. We didn’t miss having a TV. After being out all day it was great to just read a book or relax. However, the WiFi works great - so you can use a laptop if you must stay caught up on your shows. We would definitely rebook here in the future.
We loved it!
This home was beautiful, comfy, spacious, clean & the location was beautiful as well. Self check in/out was so convenient. We would most definitely recommend this gem to anyone!
Charming with lots of history
We came to NOLA for a concert at the Superdome...we had a fantastic time staying at this VRBO....we would definitely recommend to others.
Relaxing Spacious Convenient
I really enjoyed this spacious apartment during the 2nd weekend of Jazz Fest. The rooms are large, and the high ceiling just enhanced the overall spaciousness. With all of the amenities, it felt like home. Being 2 block from the St. Charles street car made getting around very easy, with out the hassle of driving around everyday. Thanks Joelle for providing such a great place!
