A lovely cottage in the peaceful countryside.
A lovely cottage in the peaceful countryside. Good base to explore the Lincolnshire area from. Welcome pack on arrival. Well kitted out. Ideal for a quiet country break which is what we were after.
Lovely cottage and well equipped.
Lovely cottage and well equipped. The owner made sure that we had some basic food to start things off and the fruit loaf was so nice. I didn't realise it was pet friendly and I am usually allergic to dogs but I didn't have any problems so the cleaning must have been really good. It was a perfect base to visit Lincoln, Skegness and Mablethorpe. The kids loved it.

We booked Bocott Cottage for Christmas week, to facilitate a family holiday with a bit less driving for me. The cottage is lovely, well furnished and equipped and was spotlessly clean on arrival. Nice and cosy with plenty of hot water. Even though it was the wrong time of year for humans to enjoy the garden, our dog loved the freedom to run around in this very nice fully enclosed space.
We appreciated the welcome pack and little extras. Owners were away but we were met and shown around by a helpful lady who was on the end of the phone if we needed anything - which fortunately we didn’t.
I am sure the location is better in summer but even with short and often misty days we loved the peace & quiet and lovely views. The village pub ( 20 minutes slow stroll ) had just changed hands so limited food service but was very welcoming and everyone we met in and around the village were friendly. If you appreciate a rural location I’d recommend this cottage highly.
Beautiful cottage well kept fantastic views and garden.
Beautiful cottage well kept fantastic views and garden. Lots of restrictions on where dog can go, which are difficult to accede to. Only real concern is that front and backdoor key's on the same ring, if there was a fire during the night you could easily become trapped, especially in the downstairs bedroom as none of the Windows open enough to allow exit anywhere in the house. As stated though the cottage was lovely and well maintained and the little extras were very thoughtful. Neighbour extremely friendly also and Eric the Newfoundland too. Just watch out for the horseflies as got bitten twice and had to go to Doctors.
