Our house is a ground floor house , that is a typical example of Athenian houses built in 60’s. The house was fully renovated this winter with personal care, as I am an architect, but we also kept its genuine character and architectural style. It consists of a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a wardrobe, a big living room, that has also a couch that can turn into a comfortable double bed, a kitchen, that is fully equipped and a totally modern bathroom with a shower. There is also an extra big entrance room, lovely decorated, that can be either separated by a door or united with the living room. The space is big enough for a single folding bed, that is available for an extra guest.

In the back side of the house there is a big veranda and also a 70 sq.m quiet and private courtyard with an amazing garden!!! The garden is well hidden, far from the street noise, with several trees (lemon tree, magnolia etc) beautiful flowers, traditional Greek herbs and plants. You can have your breakfast here (and maybe taste my mother’s traditional pie or marmalade), relax under the greek sun or enjoy your drink at nights under the stars.

Inside the house you will find brochures for the museums, timetables and info for means of transport, extra advice and help for places to visit.

The house is located in Kallithea , a quiet suburb, that is exactly in the middle distance between the centre of Athens, the beaches of Athens Riviera (Faliro,Alimos,Glifada, Voula) and the port of Piraeus.The house is also very close (100m) to Syggrou Avenue, the main road of Athens, on which cultural centers are located, such as Museum of Contemporary art and Onassis Cultural center.
Close to the house , in 5min walk distance, there is Stavros Niarhos Foundation Cultural Center, that consists of the National Library, the National Opera, and was recently built, in plans of the famous Italian Architect Renzo Piano. Along with the buildings, a huge Votanic Park was constructed, that has a surface of 170.000sq.m, with more than 1400 several trees and 300.000 greek plants, eventually placing it among the biggest parks in Athens. The whole project, which is the most ambitious and the largest that has ever been constructed in Greece, will be delivered to the public on February of 2017. Even though the project is not fully finished yet, you can walk or go for jogging or cycling along the esplanade, next to the park and the canal of water and after 15 min you can reach the coast side and the marina yaght.

Within 1 min walk distance you can reach a bus, directly to the nearest Metro station (either Syggrou-Fix or Kallithea centre) within 10min. Both stations are next to all sightseeings in the heart of Athens. The house is also very close (100m) to Syggrou Avenue, the main road of Athens, that connects the historical city center, the beach and the port with several buses or taxis within 10-15min max. There is also an express bus line, directly from the airport to the coast side, where there is a bus stop , 2 min away from the house by car. We can also arrange to pick you up from there.
