Imagine yourself sitting on the shores of Lake Champlain watching a spectacular sunset slowly turn to a starlit night as the moon reflects off the calmness of the evening lake – a fantastic setting for a romantic get-away. Or, bring the whole family and start the day off with a swim in the lake, grab the kayaks for a jaunt around the bay, then begin bike ride along the lake and enjoy a picnic lunch at Vermont’s Kamp Kill Kare State Park, less than a mile down the road. Wait, your family adventure is not over yet, once at Kill Kare hop on the ferry over to Burton Island, hike the grounds for the remainder of the afternoon. Then board the ferry back to Kill Kare, and return to the vacation rental for a quiet evening on the lake enjoying the summer sunset and lawn games with the family.
St. Albans Bay, Vermont is a small town just minutes from the city of St. Albans, population nearly 7,000, a Main Street America downtown with local shops and dining for your pleasure. St. Albans City offers a farmers market on Saturday mornings from late May through early September, two local coffee shops, several restaurants that include fine dining with steaks and seafood, casual Italian fare, a bagel bakery, diner, a brewery, BBQ joint, and a gastropub. The lakefront home is completely wheelchair accessible with amenities available for wheelchair bound individuals. The entire house is single-story for the whole family to gather for meals, sunsets, or just relaxing on a summer afternoon. The home includes a screened-in porch, large deck, a den, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps up to six people comfortably. The den includes a pull-out sofa; the dining room includes a large 8-foot custom-made farm table, granite countertops, and cherry cabinets add to the comforts of this vacation rental on the shores of Lake Champlain. For your use, we have cable TV, internet access, and a brand new washer and dryer.
Lake access includes a lake ramp, private and public dock access, (bring your boat), a gas grill, firepit (we’ll provide the firewood), bicycles, kayaks, and paddleboard are available upon request.
Want to visit a city? This rental is only one hour and 15 minutes from downtown Montreal or Old Montreal, one of Canada’s major metropolises. The city has a historic district on the shores of the St. Lawrence River, a beautiful Notre Dame Basilica, and many many other sites, as well as shopping and dining. Too far? Then visit Vermont’s largest city, Burlington, Vermont, home to Church Street, a pedestrian street full of shopping and dining, this city is on the shores of Lake Champlain with incredible views of the Adirondacks.
