Cleopatra Villas

Recently built, stunning, luxuriously furnished, and spacious water-fronted villas on the prestigious Rodney Bay Marina (St Lucia North), all a short walk from local amenities. The ideal holiday location, with most things that you need to complete your holiday right on your doorstep. All the villas at this secure location are self-contained and benefits from the constant gentle cool sea breeze.

Note that the Harbour is made up of 25 privately owned villas of which 12 are rented out short term and 10 units long-term. Cleopatra Villas manage 9 of the short-term properties, so can accommodate group sizes of 1 - 50 people.

After the stunning beauty of the buildings and landscape the next thing that strikes you on arrival is how quiet and tranquil the grounds are given that we are in the heart of busy Rodney Bay. Being on the water-front means that we benefit from constant sea breeze which blows any noise away from us.

With the beach being so close the pool is used occasionally so is never crowded. There are always plenty of docks available for mooring a yacht as most owners and guests do not own or hire boats.

Please note that the manager for this property lives and works on site so there is no possibility of being stranded outside the electronic gates on arrival due to a booking error or unforeseen circumstances. Also any problem encountered during your stay is swiftly dealt with, irrespective of time of day or night.

At the Harbour units, managed by Cleopatra Villas, there is a group connected desktop mobile phone allowing FREE calls to other villas and to the property manager. You can also receive calls from any part of the world free of charge on the villa handset. You would only need to put credit on the phone to make outgoing calls to external numbers.

All our properties have excellent Wi-Fi high speed dedicated Internet access.

About Robert Joseph

My name is Robert Joseph, the property manager for Cleopatra Villas and the general manger for the Harbour grounds and buildings. I meet all our guests on arrival and departure and will attend promptly to any problems encountered, irrespective of how small.

I am St Lucian born, grew up and worked in the UK and also worked in other European countries namely France, Holland, Germany and Portugal. I therefore find it very easy to relate to our international guests.

I speak fluent English, French and French-Kreole

Apart for it's natural beauty the most outstanding thing about the Harbour is its location. It's always a pleasant surprise when you step out of our secure gates to find the shops, restaurant and bars are a stone throw away. Pretty much everything you could possibly want is within a short walk away e.g. beach, supermarkets, banks, post office, chemist, restaurants, health shops, bars, doctors, dentist, medical centre etc.

Excellent stay, modern and clean villa!

We spent six nights in unit #1 and had a great stay. The unit is modern and well-equipped. The pool was lovely and not at all crowded. The location is optimal and extremely safe. Fern, the tour organizer for the complex, set us up with an eco-tour and a day trip to Martinique- both amazing, and Robert organized our airport transfers with their driver Tony (for a fee). The AC was nice for warmer nights. The Friday night street party in Gros Islet is a must!

My only suggestion would be to stock the unit with just a few staple items that most guests will use such as sugar, coffee, cooking oil, insecticide, etc. It seems inefficient to buy entire containers of these items if only staying for a few days. Also, we arrived during a holiday period and had to wait a couple days for the grocery stores to open before we could get supplies, so you might want to check the holiday hours of the local supermarkets before you arrive.

Overall a great experience, and we would definitely consider staying there again!

Comfortable, Clean and well maintained

This property is quiet but close to everything! You are downtown Rodney bay walking distance to groceries, shopping and restaurants. The villas have everything you need and then some and the pool is lovely. The property is beautifully maintained and the staff is wonderful! We would recommend this property highly,

The harbour was great.

Harbour villas, a great location

I really enjoyed my 10 night stay at Harbour villas. The apartment was modern and clean, with excellent house-keeping services and everything needed to make a stay comfortable. The location was great, directly on the waterfront, making for lovely views from the verandah, and a minutes walk from Rodney Bay and all its amenities, including the mall and lots of nice restaurants and bars. For independent travellers who prefer self-catering to hotels, I would certainly recommend this property.

Thankyou Robert and Lynn

Robert and Lynn were very helpful answering my questions prompty by e-mail prior to booking. On arrival we were made very welcome and because of the quiet time of year for bookings we were upgraded to a waterfront villa.

Staff cleaned as required and were vey helpful directing us to various places of interest. The self catering facilities were very satisfactory but a good quality frying pan would be a welcome addition.

There are many restaurants in the immediate vicinity providing a wide choice of cuisines. We tended to frequent the heavily booked steakhouse providing beautiful food.

The beach at Pidgeon Island was a favourite for my wife and I ,near to the Sandals Hotel. Another quiet beach was about a mile away in Rodney Bay.

Our thanks to the local traders who supplied us with fresh coconut milk, vegetables and mangos etc.

Our excursions by car we taxing due to the poor state of the roads and crazy bus drivers hell bent on suicide but worth the effort because of the spectacular scenery and lovely beaches and coves.

All in all a lovely two weeks holiday and better than the previous two we had in the south of the island.

The appratment #4 was wonderfully designed and the space was lovely.

The planting was superb and well maintained.

The hlosekeeper was very good and a lovely person.

The help we recieved from Lynn was always extremely efficient and profesional.

A few small improvements that could be made

a) Curtains in the living room for privacy

b) A spare gas cylinder with instructions for changing if required

c) Provision of table mats to protect the outside tables from hot plates

Owner's Response: All windows and doors have blinds or drapes. Unit #4 has fairly light drapes on the patio door, allowing you to see the outline of the pool and tropical grounds outside. Where privacy in the lounge is an issue all of our units have blackout drapes plus fine drapes if there is a sofa-bed in the lounge. As of 16-Feb-09 spare gas cylinders have been placed in all units, with instructions on their use. Guests can optionally call our emergency number to have the bottles switched, should one run out. Table mats have now been supplied for the outside tables.
