About Smoky Mountain Splendor gmail account
My husband and I have two teen age children. We have a boy and a girl. I have been trying to take my children to different National Parks every summer before they get so old they do not want to vacation with us. My husband was very resistant to travel on vacation somewhere that was 10 hours away. But, when we got to the cabin, he said I could drag him 10 hours anytime. He loved the mountain views. The kids love all the activity. They never get bored. I love the hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains. I also love all the history in the area. This seemed like the perfect place for us to buy a vacation home.

Why Smoky Mountain Splendor gmail account chose Sevierville
From the moment we entered "Smoky Mountain Splendor", we both fell in love with the place. The area is so peaceful and quiet. Yet, it is only 5 miles from the Pigeon Forge Parkway and all the action. It is very conveniently located to The Great Smoky Mountain National Park and countless activities in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and in the Wears Valley area.

Smoky Mountain Splendor is a spacious two bedroom plus loft three bath home perched on a hill in the Crest View subdivision. The roads leading to the cabin are not steep. This cabin is so nice. Extremely clean. Plenty of room. Decorated so nice. The Schaefer’s have been very easy to communicate with and will definitely rent from them again. Cabin is not too far away from the Parkway so that was very convenient. Easy to find with the directions given. Quiet and peaceful and beautiful, thank you.

Great family Cabin
We too love the location. It seems like you are far out into the country in a very quiet neighborhood. Yet, you can get just about anywhere in no time. The Pigeon Forge Parkway is less than 5 miles from the cabin. There is an entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park less than 10 miles from the cabin at Metcalf Bottoms Picnic area. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Exactly as described
The home is beautiful, relaxing, and quiet. Yet only a couple miles from downtown Pigeon Forge activities and drives through the Smokies. You never run out of things to do either relaxing in the hot tub or taking a drive somewhere. We loved spending our 25th anniversary there!! Thank you!!
We love to hear that people are spending their anniversaries in the Smokies. My husband and I started out really well getting away every year. Once the kids hit about 10, we stopped. Good for you getting away and vacationing in Pigeon Forge for your anniversary. I agree with you about the things to do in the Sevierville area. We have been coming for years and there are still several things on our bucket list. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
We came to Tennessee looking for peace and quiet and we definitely found it with this beautiful cabin! Pictures just dont do this place justice!! The cabin and grounds are absolutely breathtaking....Such a great getaway and we will definitely be back soon!!!

This cabin surpassed all expectations! It was absolutely beautiful. It had great space, stunning views, and lots of things to keep you entertained if you chose to just relax at the cabin. We had 2 couples, grandma, and a 3 year old with us and it was perfect set up for everyone! We would definitely come back and stay again!
We love to hear when multiple generations vacation together. No doubt you have made some wonderful memories to last a lifetime. So glad we exceeded your expectations. The cabin does have a layout to accommodate extended family members. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
The cabin was just as it appeared it the photos. Great cabin!
Our stay was wonderful! Great location and great directions to the cabin. We’ve been deceived several times by photos on VRBO, but not this time. We look forward to staying here again.
So glad you had a wonderful stay in the Great Smoky Mountains. Glad you found the directions helpful. We too love the location. Wears Valley Road is easy to get to and Smoky Mountain Splendor is less than 5 miles to the Pigeon Forge Parkway. So glad you gave VRBO another try. We try to have only good surprises when you arrive at your Vacation Home. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Welcome to the Great Smoky Mountains!! Since this may be your first time in the area we thought we would put together a few things you might want to visit. These are things we have done ourselves or feedback from guests like you! Let us know what you think!! Dollywood is one of the world’s best known theme parks, from the roller coasters, rides, restaurants and shows to the museums and entertainment; you will need to plan to spend at least one full day here. The park is great for the whole family and just minutes from the cabin. http://www.dollywood.com/ Titanic Museum: We went to the Titanic Museum, although a little pricey, we thought it was very interesting. The museum is a replica of the ship that sank in 1912 from the cabins, dining areas, to the grand staircase you see in the movies. You get a good feel for what it would have been like to be aboard the ship during its final voyage. One of the most interesting things to us was at the end when you entered a room where all the conditions were the same as the night the Titanic went down. You could feel how cold the air was, touch an iceberg and dip your hand in the frigid 26 degree water and realize you can’t leave your hand in it for long. It makes you realize what it would have been like to be dumped into the ocean that night. Good for the whole family, although maybe not for the very little ones. http://www.titanicpigeonforge.com/ The Dixie Stampede is good for the whole family. You will enter a 3500 square foot arena and be treated to a meal of chicken, pork loin, potatoes, vegetables and desert. Then you will see a friendly rivalry between the North and the South. 32 horses, talented riders and herding buffalo, it is a unique experience that everyone will enjoy. http://dixiestampede.com/ The Lumber Jack Feud, although geared more toward our younger guests its real authentic lumberjack action. With competing ESPN Lumberjack athletes, zip lines, draft horses, Timber Dogs and comedy, it will have your family on the edge of their seats! Taking place in a new 10 million dollar arena, its axe swinging, log rolling, tree climbing, chainsaw carving action will offer an experience unlike anything else in the Smoky Mountains! http://lumberjackfeud.com/ Wonderworks: Young and old alike will appreciate the hands-on activities, interactive exhibits and demonstrations. Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge has an inversion tunnel, an anti-gravity chamber, a replica of the Mercury space capsule and a hurricane hole with 65-mph winds. The re-creation of the 1989 San Francisco earthquake lets you experience the effects of a 5.3 magnitude earthquake. There are more than 150 interactive exhibits at Wonderworks in Pigeon Forge, TN, including the Bubble Room, where you can wrap yourself inside a giant bubble! http://www.wonderworksonline.com/pigeon-forge/ Elvis Museum and Gift Shop: If you are an Elvis fan you don’t want to miss the Elvis museum. View the largest private collection of memorabilia, including the King's last limousine and his world famous $250,000.00 ring. http://www.mypigeonforge.com/business/elvis-museum/ Roaring Fork Motor Nature Tour is a scenic drive into the foothills of the Smokies you will see virgin forests - clear, cascading streams - and vestiges of pioneer farms. A hiking trail leads to Grotto Falls and Mt. LeConte. Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is a ONE-WAY loop road ending in Gatlinburg. Bear sightings very possible!!! http://discoverthesmokeymountains.com/ Cades Cove is an eleven mile driving loop that has authentic homesteads, churches, gristmills, blacksmith shop, etc. We found it interesting and worth the trip. There are plenty of wild life and possible bear sightings. There is also a hiking trail for those of you who enjoy the outdoors. It is a long hike but not difficult. http://discovercadescove.com/ Clingmans Dome is the highest point in the park and the whole east coast. It is only a .5 miles hike to the peak but it is very steep. The path is paved and wide enough for wheelchairs. On a clear day it has a 360 degree view of the park and surrounding states. Pick the clearest day on your stay if you plan on going here to maximize the view. The road leading to the dome is closed from December through March 31. http://www.nps.gov/grsm/planyourvisit/clingmansdome.htm Good Eats in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg: Our favorite restaurant is the Alamo Steak House, expensive but good. We also like No Way Jose. A good breakfast place is the Red Rooster and the Pancake House at traffic light #10. You cannot go wrong because there are lots of places to eat in the area. White Water Rafting: We have not rafted here but we have had some great feedback from guests like you. http://www.smokymountainrafting.com/ Moonshine distillery is in Gatlinburg and is pretty cool. History of moonshine includes the Nascar connection, moonshine making view windows, actual moonshine transport vehicles, live music and of course many diff
