About Debra Anken-Dyer and Craig Anken
This beautiful camp belongs to the Anken Family Trust. My brother Craig and I are the Co-Trustees.
Debra Anken-Dyer and Craig Anken purchased this Cabin in 1979
Why Debra Anken-Dyer and Craig Anken chose Old Forge
My parents, my sister, three brothers and I stayed on Fourth Lake at Brynilsen's Viking Village during our childhood. In 1979 our parents saw this camp for sale, and it was love at first sight. The camp was a duplex at that time. My parents remodeled the entire interior to become a gracious, spacious Adirondack camp.
What makes this Cabin unique
Easy lake access with shallow water and sandy bottom; it's great for children.

Right on the water!
This property was right on the lake with beautiful views, a great dock, and a wonderful swimming area. The enclosed patio and covered porch were amazing. My mother said they were like a little piece of heaven. The house was stocked with everything you need from dishes to beach towels to a pair of binoculars. We had a wonderful week here. The only drawbacks were a fairly steep climb from the house up to the parking area, and two of the bedrooms were quite musty with windows that don't open. But if you love the Adirondacks and the water this house is definitely for you!
Thank you for the wonderful comments. We didn't realize there are bedrooms with windows that won't open. We'll make sure to take care of that. There isn't much we can do about the hill, but we'll be sure to mention it in the property description, in case that's a problem for anyone. Thank you for staying with us. We'll hope you'll return.
We had the most amazing week at this lovely house!! It is perfectly located and there were so many options for ways to spend the day! We stayed with another family and our kids (ages 5-8) all had a BLAST! The water was safe and beautiful and there was endless amounts of exploring to be done. There was more than enough space in the home and it had such a charming Adirondacks feel. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to spend a wonderful week in the Adirondacks!
Private, large, and absolutely beautiful!
You couldn't ask for more! The property had enough space for most anything! The private dock, gazebo, fire pit, balcony, location, and honestly everything was amazing! My friends and i have already been talking about plans to come back for next year!
Great house in the best location!
The house was very comfortable and accommodating for our 2 families. We were able to ride our bikes into Inlet on the bike trails ( safe for kids) and the house was close to several great family hikes. There was a nice size yard for the kids to play and lake was awesome to swim. The kids loved the paddle boat. Deb and Craig were very accommodating and answered all of my questions. We would defiantly stay here again.
Clean, rustic, lots of amenities, great views
The home was clean, had a rustic feel with the decor, had great amenities and water toys available. The porch was priceless at night. The owner was very friendly and responsive communicating before and after our stay.
I recommend this fabulous cabin and would stay again.
We were pleasantly surprised at how large and spacious the house was. The lakefront was great for our kids with a sandy bottom. Large stationary dock (not floating) was a great place for sun and docking our boat rental. The location works great putting you between Inlet and Old Forge. You do need to prepare for the 30 +/- steps down to the house from the parking area.
Well worth the price and we will certainly consider staying there again.
