We moved to the area in 2001 and owned the Iron Horse in Nevis, which we recently sold to enjoy Spider Lake. We have a house within 2 miles of the cabin, so we are nearby to help you with any questions you may have. We love this area and know you will too!

It was just what we needed
This cabin was just we needed for a weekend visit with family in the area! It was much more comfortable than a hotel room, and breakfast on the back deck looking out over the lake was very enjoyable. The owners were easy to work with, and their only request was that we leave the property the same way we found it, so we liked that we didn't have to pay the cleaning fee that so many others ask for. We only had to do a little light housecleaning on Sunday morning. There were also plenty of amenities available to us that we didn't have a chance to use. It is a smaller space though, so it would be perfect for a family of four or five, maybe two couples that are good friends, or even a quiet getaway for just two. We appreciated Jim and Theresa opening their cabin to us, and we would definitely consider using it again!
Quiet private location!
Looks like this may have been a two car garage, converted to a cabin. Small, secluded, comfy, and cozy. We really enjoyed the peacefulness in the evenings. Perfect place to unplug. Jim and Teresa are good communicators and they are a true pleasure to work with. Better than we expected!
Cozy and quiet!
The cabin is cozy and quiet; beautiful landscape with a prefect deck and bonfire area. The owners are nice to work with; everything went great.
Love the back porch and pontoon rental, owners close by and very helpful. Close to town for a quick bite and groceries. Many birds visit the feeders. Quiet and cozy place.
Lovely stay, great hosts
Stayed at Jim and Teresa’s place for a girls weekend with a friend. It was perfect for what we were looking for. Cabin and beds were comfortable. There is a great fire pit, though we didn’t use it. We had fun bird watching on the deck. Would love to come back!
I'm so late writing this review! We stayed here in August, and this was an amazing vacation for us! Perfect size house for two couples, although we spent most of our time on the lake or the front porch overlooking the lake. Lots of bird watching! Spider lake is not a great walleye lake if that's what you're looking for, however we had fun catching sunfish and bass. Our nights were spent on the porch and around the awesome fire pit. This place had it all! The hosts were both easy to work with, and answered every question we had. The only issue we had was that there was no gas for the grill. Not really a problem for us, since we just used the charcoal one that was there. Just to let people know, there are stairs to go down to the lake. I would highly recommend this cabin. We had a fabulous relaxing time!
