My husband Geoffrey and I are happily retired in Three Rivers. I am from a small farm town in Wisconsin (many years ago) and a retired real estate agent in the area. My husband Geoff is a retired dentist from Seal Beach CA. Went to school at UC Berkley and then USC. Rosa, a female boxer, is our greeter.
Why Diana chose Three Rivers
We always say that if we researched a place to stay anywhere in the world, and traveled by planes, trains and automobiles and ended up at Crystal Cove we would feel it was worth it! Located at the entry to Sequoia National Park. Crystal Cove is unique because it features a lovely setting with a private island and 2 waterfalls. Our guests say they never sleep as well as they do at Crystal Cove because the king Tempur-pedic bed is so comfy and the roar of the river lulls them to sleep. Crystal Cove is a lovely, spacious studio with floor to ceiling windows that open to let in the breezes that waft up and down the Kaweah Canyon. There is a propane fireplace to keep you cozy in winter and air conditioning to cool in the heat of summer. Directly in front of the studio is a walking bridge leading to a private island where guests can sunbathe, swim, dine, and enjoy a campfire in season. The water in the river is crystal clear and makes for great swimming in the warmer months, or take a polar dip in the winter. We love to jump in the river when it's cold and count to 100 before scrambling out again. It's that fight or flight shock to your body that is supposed to be so healthy. I hope so, cause it is shrieking cold! Three Rivers offers River Rafting, Lake Fishing House Boating, Nature Photography or set up your easel and capture in this great location in paintings or drawings. There is no other spot in Three Rivers that features a private island surrounded by waterfalls. Where in the world would you ever find a place like this?
