About Dawn Reeder
My husband, Lee, and I started Burnley Vineyards and were married in 1985. We are both from military families and met at Virginia Tech. We live on the property as do Lee's parents, CJ and Patt.
Why Dawn Reeder chose Barboursville
Fernando's is a lovely cottage that was built as an artist's retreat. It is light, airy, and roomy. Designed and built by Uncle Scottie, who was a linguist with the US Air Force and an artist at heart. This a lovely location in central Virginia between the Southwest Mountains and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but close to Gordonsville, Ruckersville, Orange and Charlottesville,
What makes this House unique
Fernando's is easy to relax in and the view from the deck is wonderful. A charcoal grill is available for meals and many enjoy a glass of wine, craft beer and just enjoy the sunset.

Home away from home....
Quiet, peaceful with lovely views. Home is open, comfortable and accommodating. I will be back!
Very adorable cabin. Perfect quiet getaway.
We stayed at this cabin for a football weekend. We spent a day at the game and a day at wineries and Downtown Charlottesville. It was a perfect place for the 4 of us. So much better than a hotel room. Thank you for your hospitality.
Hail to Pitt!
Graduation weekend visit
Great visit to Charlottesville for son's graduation. House was clean and open and had everything we needed. The proximity to the winery was an added bonus!
The cabin is gorgeous! It’s just as described— a hideaway! It was well stocked with everything. The hosts thought of everything. The scenery is gorgeous, and it’s just so serene.
The hosts are very responsive and gracious. I’m happy that we chose to stay with them instead of a hotel.
Very nice cottage.
Quiet, a great place to get away to with wineries close by.
A lovely cottage
An absolutely lovely cottage, location and welcome from the owner. We loved how bright the cottage is without curtains or blinds as it was perfect to wake up and enjoy the beautiful sunrise and views but take an eye mask if that would bother you. Only drawback is that the bedrooms are on a mezzanine level (not fully closed rooms with doors), but they are very comfortable. Altogether a great place to stay.
