About Joanne Reich

Don and I purchased this condo because it was the nicest place we have found to stay when we visited the mountains. Hendersonville is an area that has much to offer including festivals throughout the year. We have a big family and like to share this place with our adult children.

The location is halfway between St Marys, GA where we live and Dayton, Ohio where most of Don's family are.

Many of our guests are repeat visitors who find City Condo as relaxing as we do. We hope you do as well.

We are both retired and do a lot of traveling but when we're home we usually head to the mountains the first chance we get.

Why Joanne Reich chose Smoky Mountains

You will find that it is kept in good shape and eating in or out is not a big decision. The mountains have a certain charm that you don't find elsewhere and yet we decided to purchase a place in town because we didn't relish driving home after dark on winding mountain roads. We also like to be able to go for a stroll up Main St after dinner and just people watch and maybe go to Kilwin's for a decadent ice cream cone.

What makes this house unique

City Condo is simply the prettiest place we've ever stayed in so when we found out it was for sale we made an offer. The previous owner had it professionally decorated and as luck would have it we loved the way it looks. We often open all the windows at night to get the fresh mountain breezes. We like the idea of parking the car and walking everywhere. There are always opportunities to see a play, listen to music, visit the surrounding area or just spend an evening relaxing and playing games or reading.

We love visiting Hendersonville and staying in City Condo. It's located just a block from Main St. where there are many restaurants and shops. You will be a 10 minute drive to the famous Flat Rock Theater and the Carl Sandburg Home. Nearby is the Sierra Nevada Brewery (next to Asheville airport) and, of course, Asheville is just up I-26 about 25 mins. away. At the end of a busy day you will love returning to your cozy, comfortable home and maybe preparing a light supper and just relaxing. You can always find live music in town if you're in the mood.

The Visitor Center is 2 blocks away on Main St. and they are very helpful and will give you the latest information on events.

Wonderful place to stay in downtown Hendersonville

  • 5 of 5

The City Condo is a fantastic place to stay in Hendersonville. The decor and furnishings are beautiful and the entire condo was spotlessly clean. Everything you need is on hand and the space is roomy and comfortable. The location is at the south end of the downtown area - we were able to visit the many shops and restaurants in the downtown area without using our car, which was great. Parking is located under the building and the building is secured at all entry points. The owners were responsive and accommodating to our needs. I would definitely recommend this condo!

Beautiful condo, great location, spotlessly clean. Wonderful beds, all furnishings attractive and comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Spacious rooms, no noise heard from street or from surrounding units, good covered parking (designated spots), convenient elevator. Close to downtown shops and restaurants, nearby grocery stores. Absolutely delighted with our stay here!

A Great Place To Relax!

  • 5 of 5

The condo provided first class accommodation. It was comfortable, clean, spacious, convenient and quiet. An easy walk into town and the parking was great. The owners have done a fantastic job of providing every thing needed for an enjoyable stay in Hendersonville. The location was perfect as a base for visiting not only Hendersonville but also Asheville and the surrounding attractions and parks. Would definitely make this our "home" on the next trip to the area!
