About Kari Bernard
This is a family owned property.
Why Kari Bernard chose Cape Neddick
Few properties in this area offer the level or tranquility, privacy and surrounding ocean vistas as Point de Vue. Truly a special property. You feel surrounded by the calming and healing properties of the ocean.
What makes this House unique
Research proves that a close proximity to water increases our health and happiness. This is what one experiences immediately upon entering the Point de Vue property. Set on the furthest point of a peninsula, you feel surrounded by the beauty of the ocean. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks adds to the tranquility.

Peaceful Respite on the Ocean
We thoroughly enjoyed our week's stay at Point de Vue. As indicated in the description, the panoramic oceanfront views and soothing sound of the waves were magnificent. A pristine and beautifully appointed environment along with excellent communication from the owners added to our enjoyable experience.
Amazing location beautiful house with lots of cool art and antiques
Truly a glorious location. We had planned to eat out but so love this locale that we cooked in for all but 2 meaks, one of which was takeout. 7 great days. The coves around the house are empty of people and magnificent to explore. In summer bring eyeshields for morning sleep , but do wake up at dawn to witness the glorious sunrises from your beautiful whole floor master suite. The house is full of great furniture to relax, wonderful abundent linens and towels and great washer dryer. We hope to come back. Really fell in love with the ogunquit beach too though it was indeed full of people it was lovely.
House is gorgeous and setting more beautiful than pictures allow. Lacks air conditioning which was an issue only on the first couple of days of extraordinary heat. Otherwise great breezes. Hosts very accommodating and available. Highly recommend.
This is a beautiful home on Cape Neddick
This home on Cape Neddick is beautiful and has amazing water views - very picturesque w the rocky coast of Maine. Though this house is somewhat isolated, it is luxurious, comfortable and very well supplied. The Master bedroom upstairs is marvelous - a great place to sit and read and/or watch the waves hit the coast. We loved our week here - the only down side is that there is no AC - and when humid - it can be a bit warm.
Coastal Maine Perfection
We stayed here for 5 weeks and enjoyed every day - rain or shine. The views have to be seen to be believed. Sitting out on the patio or in the sun room you an see the ocean all around you.
The owners supply just about everything you need and were very responsive to the few requests we made. The house is maintained beautifully as are the grounds. Having two bedrooms and three bathrooms on the main floor is perfect for anyone with any kind of mobility problems (though not wheel chair accessible, as they point out in their listing).
We have stayed in many rental homes in the York area and this was by far the house that most lived up to its description. We hope to be able to return at some time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the quiet and tranquility the Maine coast has to offer. You will not be disappointed.
This is a very special property. Many houses in the York area are waterfront and have lovely ocean views, but I doubt that more than a few match the view here. The house is literally feet from the descending rocky shore (with a low stone wall as the boundary), and the view is wide open (and I do mean completely and wonderfully wide open). I have done a lot of overnight sailing, and this is the only house I have rented that gave the same feeling of total open space with twinkling stars by night, and curved shoreline miles away in each direction by day. To your right is a long view of the Cape Neddick (Nubble) Lighthouse. Straight out you can just make out Boon Island Light, the tallest lighthouse in New England. To the left is the beautiful curving shore of York, Ogunquit, and beyond (with the huge Cliff House Resort visible several miles away). The house itself captures the ocean view from every room except the twin bedroom and kitchen which instead face a very large beautiful year-round garden. In addition to those two rooms, the first floor includes a queen bedroom and a very large open family room with a small adjoining sun porch enclosed by floor to ceiling sliding glass doors and screens. The entire second floor is a fabulous master suite with a balcony the width of the house. This home is light and cheerful throughout, decorated with modern comfortable furniture, large paintings, and many lovely objects from the owner's travels. The outdoor patio has two lounge chairs and an umbrella table with chairs for dining. I was there in August, but for winter vacations, there is a gas fireplace in the family room. The kitchen is extremely well supplied, and there are two ensuite bathrooms, one full bath outside the twin bedroom, and a half bath off the sunporch. I did not want to use an outdoor grill, but if that is important to you, check with the owner to see if there is one available on the premises. The hosts, Kari and Rene, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. This is a fabulous property, and I could not recommend it more highly.
Short drive to Ogunquit and York, both which feature many fine and local dining options. Cape Neddick beach a 4 minute drive (one mile away).
