This is a newly updated 850 square foot apartment with its own private entrance and plenty of parking. Two large bedrooms with large walk-in closets provide ample space for you and your family. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and the other has a queen and a set of bunk beds. The kitchen has been recently remodeled and has a stove and oven. This is a great space in the historic Del Mar neighborhood.

Less than a block away is 6-points RTA bus station. Also within walking distance you have great options for breakfast (Price's Chef Diner) Lunch (Hester's Cafe), and dinner (Lucianos). There are also some antique shops and Blue Frog Mercantile right around the corner. HEB/CVS are about 3 miles away and a straight shot down Alameda st. Uber and Lyft should now be operating inside the city!!

About Mike Richline

Mike and Coral now live outside of Corpus Christi on a few acres with our horses, dogs and 5 year old and 5 month old daughters. Mike has called Corpus home since 2000 and Coral since 2008. We lived together in this house for several years before deciding to move out to the country with the horses. We are frequent travelers and prefer VRBO to traditional lodging. We have tried to incorporate our favorite touches into this home for you to enjoy.

Why Mike Richline chose Del Mar

The Del Mar area of Corpus is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. Each house is unique and and streets have their own personality. It's close to everything and in fact we hardly ever needed to leave our 5 mile bubble. Work, play and great restaurants and entertainment venues are all right around the corner. If you are traveling for work, downtown is 2 miles away. Coming to see a show? American bank and Concrete Street are about 5 miles (if that). The SEA district boasts a water park, Hooks baseball and Museums all about 5 minutes away. Scoot over the bridge for the Lexington and the Aquarium. And the very best park in town, Cole Park is a straight 4 block walk down Cole street to the water.

What makes this apartment unique

This house was originally built around 1939. The additional apartment was added in 1996. So the size of the apartment allows a good size group to affordably enjoy the location.

Great Local suite to the water

We only spent 2 days here and it was enjoyable place to rent-especially for our first time renting on Homeaway. They're was 4 of us plus dog and it felt cozy. Even being on the top portion of house, it did not heat up too bad. This rental is crazy close to the ocean so you can literally walk if you wanted! The house was supplied well with many amenities as listed. Such as towels in bathroom, silverware and dishes. Very comfortable living establishment. Of course being connected to the house, we did not experience noise from neighboring renters. (They said they heard us but we were barely there for majority of the time but that's another story :P ). Lovely place to rent if you're about to plan a getaway.

Fulfilled our needs

We rented the house attached to the apartment...so this worked well for my son's family. We did have some air-conditioning challenges because the unit must not have been used recently. We did not hear from owner when. I informed them of situation. Very glad to utilize floor fans to move cool air from living area into bedrooms.

Located near downtown, the hospitals, shopping and the bay this is the ideal location to experience Corpus Christi.

Less than a block away is 6-points RTA bus station. Also within walking distance you have great options for breakfast (Price's Chef Diner) Lunch (Hester's Cafe), and dinner (Lucianos). There are also some antique shops and Blue Frog Mercantile right around the corner. HEB/CVS are about 1 mile away and a straight shot down Alameda st. Unfortunately, Corpus Christi recently banned Uber (if this upsets you let the mayor know, she lives right down the street) but we do have an Uber alternative called Tride. Which I haven't yet tried.
