Spacious 2 bed/ 1 bath flat in stylish leafy neighbourhood
- english, spanish, Hebrew
I am originally from California, and have made London my home for the last 16 years. I am passionate about great travel experiences, art and design, cooking and of course my family. We love learning about other cultures, and meeting people from all over the world. As a designer I love decorating and making homes for myself and others. I like meeting my friends for local events or catching the latest art exhibition. If onetires of London, they tire of life!
Why Monica chose Kensington and Chelsea
I have lived in the Notting Hill/ Holland Park area for over 10 years, and really love the unique character and central location. The flat is very well located for the underground, shopping, restaurants, and site seeing. I have a wealth of tips and information about London and this area.
What makes this Apartment unique
We have artfully arranged and decorated the flat for the comfort of our guests' stay. Some things I have collected from my travels, and others are gems I've found on Portobello Market. For the comfort of our guests, we've included amenties such as a Nespresso Coffee Machine, Shampoo, hair dryer, and a guide to the local area. There is a travel cot and high chair free of charge for babies as well.

Great Location and nice apartment !
Located over The Castle, a friendly neighborhood pub, the second floor flat was a great location for us! Short Uber ride to central city, we enjoyed the non tourist feel of a neighborhood location.
Great location, convenient to buses and tube
Family of 4 enjoyed our stay, minor problems with heating but overall nice place. Monica was easy to work with and quick to respond.
We recently spent 6 days, 7 nights in this comfortable flat. All the necessary conveniences are provided, even if we Americans had a hard time figuring out how to use the combo washer/dryer. And being American, not realizing the second-story flat is what we would call the third floor. David greeted us, carried our luggage up the stairs and showed us around the apartment. We arrived before the unit was ready, but were able to leave our luggage and get the keys. Close to all our needs - Holland Park Station a short walk and Notting Hill Gate Station a bit further for easy and quick transportation around London. The neighborhood is great to just walk around and enjoy. Local food was good including The Castle Pub, Paul's, and Tesco. The only drawback for two women in our 60's was the steep staircase after a long day of sightseeing. But we recommend this apartment.
Great neighborhood location
We prefer a neighborhood over the central part of a city, so this flat was in a perfect location for us. We enjoyed the leafy streets and cute shops, but could get on the Underground at the Holland Park station, which is very close, or the Notting Hill Gate station, which is a bit further on, and get anywhere we wanted to go fairly quickly. Nearby Holland Park and Kennsington Parks are great for runners and walkers. We walked to Portobello Market, which was great fun, on Saturday morning. My husband and daughters loved the Nespresso machine in the flat. I appreciated the tea. Monica and David were very responsive, helpful and accommodating. As others have mentioned, you do need to go up some stairs to reach the flat. This was not a problem for us, but individuals who might have a difficult time with this should communicate with Monica about their needs. We had a great stay and hope to return some time.
A great base to explore all that London has to offer.
We spent a week in London, with our two kids, and this proved to be a good choice. The flat was well equipped, and the location was perfect. It's in a great part of London, is walking distance to some attractions, and could not be any closer to the underground, for heading further afield. Communication was good from booking, and both Monica and David were pleasant and helpful. Highly recommended.
Very comfortable, great location, friendly helpful people
We had a wonderful time, loved the location and really appreciated the owners accommodating our late arrival.
In the fashionable Notting Hill and Kensington area, Holland Park is a rare leafy oasis in central London. There is a reason so many well-heeled Brits, such as the Beckhams, Richard Branson, and Simon Cowell, have chosen to make Holland Park their home: the grand white stucco mansion blocks, the woodlands of Holland Park, and the central location to life in London. The neighourhood has charming village like atmosphere and community of local businesses that appeal to those who seek luxury without attracting attention.
Specialty food shops, cafes, bakeries, and restaurants are on your doorstep for a meal on the go, casual eating, and fine dining. Holland Park is family friendly with playgrounds (most recently frequented by Prince George), animals, and greenery to relax. Clarendon Cross is a chic little village with the Cowshed Spa, the famous quirky Julies Restaurant, and interior design shops.
Holland Park is ideally located for site seeing and shopping in London. It's moment away from the famous Notting Hill Portobello Market, the Japanese Gardens of Holland Park, and afternoon tea at Kensington Palace / Hyde Park where young Royals Kate and William have their London Residence. It's convenient for luxury shopping at Harrods and Westfield shopping mall, or unique boutiques on Westbourne Grove and Kings Road.
The flat has quick access to the central line tube, local buses, and the popular hop off and hop on buses to site see the city. Holland Park (central line 1 min walk), Notting Hill Gate (district/ central line 5 min walk). Kensington High street (15 min walk). It's very easy to get to the Victoria and Albert Museum, Natural History Museum, and Science Museum on Exhibition Road. Other popular tourist sites such as Madame Tussaud, the London Eye, West End shows, Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace are all convenient to get to by direct tube lines from Notting Hill Gate.
